I believe Tesla will do that paperwork for you (could be different if they are not authorized to sell vehicles to you directly in your state) and you 'll get the plates in the mail after 3 weeks (at least in case of NJ deliveries).

Not sure about it is NY/NJ thing but my ISA assigned NY location for the delivery even though the car is for NJ, so it might be possible.

When you buy an ICE you don't look at the tank capacity because they are so many gas stations and filling them is pretty fast. So if we can get 200 miles of range in say 10-15 mins (which will eventually happen in few years) it'll make bigger batteries unnecessary.

Such an incorrect statement unless you are talking about apple products. You can increase the memory (both RAM and Disk space) in most computers. Fast charging makes bigger battery size unnecessary, I hope people get out of the ICE range mentality.

I think battery size becomes kind of irrelevant as the charging technology improves. So I'd go with a dual motor, all glass roof, premium audio and may be leather seats.

My upgrades = Tax credit that I get.

I believe in few years we are going to have ultra fast charging stations making the range (for the most part) irrelevant.
