Creaking noise in suspension - replaced Front Suspension AFT Link

For what it's worth, just brought our 2016 Model S into service center, 24,000 miles and sounds like we have a broken AFT link as well . . . may have hit a pothole or two but certainly nothing memorable . . . Let's see what the outcome is. Wondering if others have had the same problem -...

    Charge Port Freak Out

Has this happened to anyone else recently? My charge port on new MS seems to open at random times - both in my garage, where I charge, but also elsewhere where I have not charged (like a supermarket lot and a friends house). Hitting close charge port door on the car's screen doesn't help -...

    Too close call with TACC

Interesting - sounds like at least a few others have had the same experience. Larry Hutchinson, fortunately, I had the same safety system working as you did (i.e. LOML in the seat next to me yelling to stop). Worked for my parents for a long time also . . .

    Too close call with TACC

Buckerine - I also had great experience with TACC so far; no issues with sun shining into the camera

    Integrated Console Review/Comparison

Quick question - it looks like the USB and lighter plug are inside the sliding compartment (?). I have a small usb adapter and usb cord running to the back seat for charging; does this mean you need to keep the door open to run them?

    Too close call with TACC

Have had MS for several weeks now and overall really enjoying the car. Have had lots of very good experience with TACC and AP. Last weekend, was driving in stop and go traffic (up to about 40 mph and down to stop), when the TACC system did not slow down as we approached the car in front of us...

EZ-Pass transponder mounting on refreshed nosecone-less Model S

cdhowe, just caught your reference to the license plate mounted hardware interfering with autopilot - hadn't seen that before; is there a thread on that (i did search but didn't see one). I had thought folks put it behind the nosecone for appearance reasons but I'm not bothered by that; if it...

Slacker radio plays only one song and stops . . .

DRasheed, i noticed the same with the song timer . . . It also stopped working after an initial soft restart. Also an inventory car . . . TexasEV, thanks for the answer, I will now see if I can get into the service center - unfortunately I am traveling this week . . . I have sent Tesla...

Slacker radio plays only one song and stops . . .

Newbie question - have had my MS for just a few days and loving it! One issue I have had is that when I tee up a song in slacker radio, it plays only that song and then stops. If i hit "advance" on the screen it goes to the next song, but otherwise it would just stop. Also, the "advance"...

Garages in NYC - upper west side

fwiw, I tried Luxe on a Sunday night - which is when I would need it the most - and got a message that they had no availability. Wondering/hoping others have had a better experience (?)

Garages in NYC - upper west side

Yes - I meant that it was $200-300 MORe than what we currently pay (I didn't list the total amount we will be paying only because it is so high people will think it is a typo ...). If I found $300 parking I would be very excited! Thanks for the responses - was wondering what the experience...

Garages in NYC - upper west side

I don't think the footprint of the S is much bigger but I will check; had thought it might be due to the cost of the car (they assume tesla owners can pay more?) Anyway, you are right that prices are ridiculous - almost as much to park a car as rent an apartment in other cities (with better...

Garages in NYC - upper west side

Hi - expecting our model S next week. We're looking for a new garage and wondering what other's experiences are - specifically in the upper west side (mid 80s). Initial quotes are for $200-$300 more per month for our current car (7 year old Subaru) and that is without charging. Thanks!

Inventory versus new with refreshed design

About to put a deposit down for new 90d and tesla advisor found an inventory car that has pretty much the same specs with 1k miles - at a 5k savings. This seems like a good trade off - I like the old design, won't miss the hepa filter, and can buy the new console. And I get it right away...
