Exact same issue described here. The Marietta, GA SC acknowledged that this is a known issue. I am taking my vehicle in for a fix (hopefully) this Friday. Fingers crossed as this is very infrequent and just a minor annoyance on an otherwise flawless vehicle!

Btw turning range mode on does turn off the DRLs as of the latest firmware on my MX90D. That's actually the only reason why I don't use the range mode much. I prefer the DRLs to be on all the time.

Way more road noise compared to my X5 even when I am doing just 70. However i would absolutely not trade this car for any of the luxury brands

BTW I wonder if all the folks having this problem have a black MX?

Exact same behavior on our black 90D At least now I know I am not imagining things. Weird thing is that it doesn't happen if you are driving in the hot sunshine. It only happens when you are parked in the open for a long time. So far it doesn't bother me too much as my vehicle is generally not...

Got mine installed yesterday at the Marietta, GA SC. Got a call from the SC earlier in the morning that the part had arrived and I could get it installed the same day. Took them about 45 mins to install it and activate the software components.

When I had this problem.. the SC shop order stated that a control module reset was done to resolve the problem. I have not had that issue since the reset

Spoke to the SC this morning and they are pulling logs from the vehicle to see if this is something that can be done over the air. If not, then I am hoping a visit to the SC takes care of this issue once and for all.

Ugh... I dont suppose I can do that on my own without voiding the warranty? I just want to reset the damn thing. The car operates absolutely fine otherwise!

Exact same problem including the front don't opening just a few inches. I am hoping a firmware upgrade is the fix but apparently a hardware component was fixed for another vehicle? I still think it's some sort of a funky state for the firmware that needs a hard reset/reinstall..

It's got to be a silly firmware bug. The door is in a funky stage and the firmware cannot detect whether it's open or closed. This is just a guess looking at how the screen shows both the options for the door. I am positive a firmware reinstall or an upgrade should fix it. However unfortunately...

This is weird. What papers (or electronic documents) did you sign when you picked up the car. Was the loan arranged by Tesla? If so how would could they let you take delivery?! I had to finish signing all the financial documents and show proof of wire transfer (down payment + financed amount)...

I have #3 above after the 8.0 upgrade although I have never had any prior issues with the FWD. Dropped the car off at the SC yesterday and will be picking up tomorrow.

We have definitely noticed the increased air flow with the V8.0 upgrade. I almost always have some form of music or radio on in the car so never noticed the increase in air vent sound..

Even in my case the door closes without the obstruction issue about 3/10 times. Reboot or recalibration did not work so I am probably going to get an SC appointment. I do have a few minor trim related stuff to fix so hopefully I can get all that done in one visit.

I believe so. I have the exact same behavior on my MX. I did however get the garage door raised so the FWDs can open fully.

I believe that's because the location accuracy is probably about 10 or so meters so the car cannot distinguish whether it is inside or outside your garage.

Recalibration did not work.. I am gonna try the reboot. Ugh..

I upgraded my 90D to the 8.0 software yesterday. While everything else looks fine, I seem to have developed an issue with the driver side FWD detecting a false obstacle while closing. I can always override and close. However I have NEVER had an issue with the FWDs until the Software upgrade...

I started the update about an hour ago and went to look at the car. It seems completely dead. No display no "possessed" behavior. The doors seems to open and close. How long is this supposed to take?

No issues whatsoever- 2700 miles so far. We have a child in a car seat and so we use the fwd quite often.

Yep! As I mentioned, no issues with the sensors and the wrap looks great.

Got a full body wrap for or Model X using premium shield. No issues with any of the sensors. Everything has continued to work flawlessly.

It's what Tesla calls an "extended test drive". You can ask for it and they will usually provide you with a Model S. I did that too a few months into the order so I don't think it matters to them whether you have put in your deposit or not.

I picked up mine about a month ago and it did not come with the front plate installed. The mounting bracket was kept in the trunk in case I needed to use it. Fortunately in GA we do not require front plates.

A pre owned ( albeit with just ~600miles) Model X would not qualify for the fed tax credit so it should depreciate by at least 7.5k. I would say that would bring down the real depreciation to about 15-16%.

Yup, it depends on your usual long commute. I generally travel from Atlanta to Nashville and the 240 mile trip requires me to recharge at an SC. Another 30 miles with a 10kwh increment in the battery range will be awesome. I would not mind paying for that.

I don't have PUP so I assumed that the vehicle would not be wired for interior ambient lighting. The Abstract Ocean LEDs are a replacement for the dome lights correct? Since I don't currently have ambient lighting, I don't think there is a way to do that post delivery.
