On German forums people write that the 90 battery car are charging faster (got a better charging curve). Is anybody seeing this? I doubt it if I am honest..

The battery was damaged, and got replaced June 2023 - one year after first symposium occured. It broke down having 14% of charge; luckily finally the BMS error message showed up.

Same happened to me. A lot of water inside. Compressor is only 1 year old! Water damage and the magnets are no longer glued to the tube. I will glue it if I find time but in the meantime I bought a compressor at Tesla directly paying about 300$.

Software update helped for me, as I wrote. Going to service mode and reinstalling fully did not solve the issue though.

My X 2016 had this issue too, I checked everything: in the end a software update resolved it.

Well I checked the negative points on the car as they tend to get rotten and fail but mine are ok, so this was not the cause:( Now I’ll look for rhe sensor cables.

Yes, I guess the water is the problem, but as we have snow now and the weather won’t change in the next days, I have to wait. If I knee it will be snowing I wouldn’t have washed it:(

Hi, Today our X got these messages too: Yesterday I had the car washed, charged at SuC, and no problems. Today they came all together. As @pcrow Never had the issues before. Any advice what to check? Maybe a connection got wet?

This is something completely different. i already know my battery is NOT ok. Instead of charging me for “circuit check” they should care. The car broke down completely without any warning at 7% and I had to tow it into the SeC. And it does not fully charge any longer. So I can use about 20%...

Ok, they want to charge me 250 bucks for performing circuit check and diagnosis and say everything is ok (!) The car stops charging at about 85-90%, and recently shut down at 6% completely. Can’t be true…

Yes, but as it does not charge more than 80ish, and broke down now at 6%, it is no longer reliable and I hope they realize it too and will replace it…

Ok, now the car broke down at 6% and I had to call towing. After 30minutes the range dropped to 1% and then to 0% finally. I forgot my other phone to check the battery but it seems to be finally broken.

We don’t accelerate fast, we always drive in low, and had them replaced 3x already. And now I feel the vibrations again. So driving very defensive helps but not forever - it is only a longer agony before they completely die again.

Did you show them any scanmytesla data? I don’t think they really want to see it.. they rely on their „methods“ and measurements..

Well, I will try of course but as the module is almost full at about 87% the balancing process (getting the other ones full too) would take forever. And I don’t think this is only a balancing issue as the module is getting empty faster than the other ones as mentioned before.

I will see then, but as the module has too more voltage than the others at the end of charging but loses it faster than the other modules shows it has less capacity so it is being stressed more. In the end I am really amazed - as @ResHacker - that the car still behaves ok even though the issue...

Honestly I didn’t have patience to do so. It supercharges till 87-88%, having only few kW. I can try at home though, but I think, it will not go till 100%. Or it will take forever..

CorreCt, I’ll try to tell them, but first they have to change the side cameras as the don’t initialize; after 6 years of driving a tesla I learned to not tell too much at once:) otherwise they are a bit overwhelmed:))

There is still 3 years of warranty on this car, so I will be driving and looking how it goes.

was Thanks, this is a 100D 2017, so it used to be charging at max 140kW and still about 100kW about half full. What I experience here in Germany is that they always say „this is normal“ - nobody really seems to care as the focus on M3 and MY :(

Hi, In the meantime I found a solution. Reinstalling the last Update helped, as mentioned in a thread here in the forum. There is no problem any longer, everything works just fine! Still what did not change is the bad charging curve. I hoped for it to be better but it did not change:(

Hello, Our 100D has a really low charging curve. Now at 98kW at 25%, and falling quickly. I entered the service mode and found there is this error: THC_w0149_refrigLowChiller The question ist what it is: the chiller to be exchanged? The fluid is at max, so no problem.. Any idea? Thanks!

Hope the 2021 will be rolled out widely (we have 2 MCU1 cars), and also for Europe. But my question is: did you get new maps after it too? We still stuck on 2019 maps..:(

Strangely for the pre-2019 the part numbers are the same! So it can’t be a permanent fix..

Our X from 2016 got the halfshafts replaced 2019 (warranty) at ca 50.000mi, in 2020 (paid more than 1500 for it, at 70.000mi, and now again at 100.000mi, parts warranty. They used same parts number in 2020 and 2021 (1027115-00-D) and (1027111-00-D) So no change and I think it will coke back...

Hopefully this one will help Kingman, AZ, as there are really lines of Teslas waiting to charge..

@BrokerDon the rates the loaner has are amazing! My 85D is like yours, and the difference is huge. I really do not get why they tapered our cars:( I know people with over 300000miles on 85, and the battery was pretty good after, without any problems with high charging rates - until teh summer...

@kkillebrew How did you manage to call them? I have no SeC here in NM, so tried to reach out to CO or AZ, but only the answering machine... I really miss the preheating:(

@BrokerDon mine is very similar. Have about 50% DC 50%AC charging. Unhappy with the rates, but cannot change them. Tell us, what the SC told!

Our other two teslas back in Europe have been offered 2020.4.1 already, so only our American is affected by failing.
