2020.4.1 failed to install twice

Hello,

was happy to get the update information in my car. But: 1/28 it failed to install, and 1/30 one more time it failed. No update available since then.

car was charged about 60-80%, wifi present, so no problems.

any ideas how to push it? I need my battery preheating back

Any SC I could call so they push it? Cannot get in touch with anyone, and next SC is about 10h drive..

At least you have been offered TWICE. We have two ‘19S ‘17X both on advanced and no software updates. The X is still on 2019.40.1.1

just kidding about the at least part. Sorry yours has failed :-/

Our other two teslas back in Europe have been offered 2020.4.1 already, so only our American is affected by failing.

My 2020.40.1 failed too, then the car went back to the previous version. I called Tesla service and they put it back in to the queue and said it could be 24 hours, but I got a new software update notification in two hours. Second time worked.
The Tesla lady on the phone told me that if your update fails and you don't call service to be put back in to the queue, you just wait until the next update to catch up.

@kkillebrew How did you manage to call them? I have no SeC here in NM, so tried to reach out to CO or AZ, but only the answering machine... I really miss the preheating

Try opening a service call with the app and choose software update. Don't remember the exact steps but that is where I started.
