Yes, you read that correctly the body shape of model y was introduced in 2020, but the platform (battery pack and motors) was developed 5-6 years ago.

The MYP platform is about 5-6 years old, so it shouldn't be surprising that other automakers can achieve better performance today.

I have MYP, while it is a great car it is not near close to Plaid. The only advantages of the Y are cheaper insurance, extra storage (if needed), and easier to get in and out. After 5k miles on the car, it feels slow and I would happily pay Tesla to increase the performance and noise-canceling...

To the OP, I am sorry for what happened to you. I am not sure if anyone mentioned that, but could you ask tesla to provide the most common locations the vehicle was parked at prior to your meeting with him?

I am in the Boston area and coming from X3 35i. Again, I love the handling while driving on regular highways and city streets and will not change the way it rides.

The MYP ride is excellent, not sure why people complain so much about it. No one in the family ever mentioned anything about being bumpy or not comfortable. To be honest, I love the way it drives. I am running the stock wheels and recently replaced the summer tires with the Michellin all season.
