    Powerwall Automated Load Shedding?

I have basically the same problem with an added twist. I already have a generac generator with its transfer switch after the gateway. Whole house is covered and just like the OP there is no way to separate my loads due to the level of complexity of my setup. One note on the generac load shed...

    TOU api

Also at least for me, I switched to the public api vs the internal one for changes (I still us it to pull data) because obtaining a new token restarts the powerwalls which during an outage causes the power to go out and sometimes not come back till grid power becomes available again.

thread is a little old, but I was having the same issue, and thought I would drop the solution in case someone else needs it. Setting mode: curl -s -k --header "Authorization: Bearer $TOKEN" -X POST -H "Content-Type: application/json" -d '{"default_real_mode":"'$1'"}'...

Tesla Elon Musk Says Update 8.1 Coming in 10 Days or So

I just completed a Denver to Omaha (~500 mile) road trip (driving back tomorrow) with the new update. Was in AP the vast majority of the time at 80 mph. A few quick notes. 1) AP2 handles cross winds far better then AP1 did. 2) No truck lust, but still does not move over as much as I would...

    FW 8.1 AP2 no nags?

I am 200 miles into a 700 mile road trip today on the new software... most of which so far has been on AP. Yes it nags you, but really not all that bad just have to give it a little nudge and it happily goes about its job.

Tesla Elon Musk Says Update 8.1 Coming in 10 Days or So

Yea the save door setting "feature" seems to cause a little issue... notice what is missing above... and yes I called Tesla support, who had me reboot the car, and confirmed all of the updates completed without error. They are now researching the problem.

If they are not there, you could be nice and plug the car back in, maybe they forgot in the first place.

    Firmware 8.0

17.7.2 seems to have a problem with wide (40 foot) neighborhood feeder roads. It seems to be fighting with its "I want to be in the center and I really like the right line". It would show both clearly on the screen but move way off to the right then realize it was not in the middle and slowly...

    worst fears - need comfort

I have both an S and an X that we picked up in mid Dec. X has had no issues, S had the driver side tail light fail and I had the same mirror problem on the left side mirror. The mirror seems to be fixed after the last update, my guess is they had the torque stop set to low, so it thinks it is...

Autopilot rolling out to all AP2 HW cars today

I am in the same boat as you, I placed my order for my X and S right before the announcement. I am rather annoyed with the lack of promised features that where there and working on the loaners when I bought the car and even more with the lack of safety features that where promised by Dec (there...

HW2: It's been a week. How many miles do you have on autosteer?

Commuted from Boulder Creek to Milpitas every day for 3 years and grow up in San Diego. Never ever again do I want to deal with CA traffic daily.

HW2: It's been a week. How many miles do you have on autosteer?

I have not been able to use it more then 4 or 5 miles because of the speed limit. All of that was on I70 in stop and go traffic, it did ok but it is hard to find traffic that is between 20 and 45 on the freeway. under 20 it feels like it weaves back and forth in the lane above that it was...

Autopilot rolling out to all AP2 HW cars today

Likely others have said this but have you rebooted the system, After I did I got the update notification 30 or so minutes later. I had to reboot both the small and big screen before my wife's X would pull it down. Oddly my S (they are both Dec deliveries) got it Monday or Tuesday on its own.

    Software Update Available! HW2 car!

Kind of from my router, I have a cisco WLC that manages my 12 APs (I am a network nerd). So I get all kinds of real debugging. As far as debugging the update, calling I would guess is the only option that does not involve rooting the car, which I would not recommend. For my part, I am happy...

    Software Update Available! HW2 car!

2.52.120 is around 1.1 GB, (see below) and the download does not seem to resume if it becomes disconnected. So if it has not yet completed and you change connections (move the car) or the wifi drops for any reason it has to start all over again
  20. B

    Firmware 8.0

Yea was 2.52.120, 1.2gig for minor bug fixes seems a little excessive.

    Firmware 8.0

Big jump in data usage on both my new S and X over the last hour... currently on .180, would be great to even get the TACC going, guess we shall see once they are both done. One hour diff between the two.

Very sad... Fatality in a Model S on the 405

As a father of 3, one of which turned 10 a few months ago, I can't imagine what you most be feeling, I and my family's thoughts are with you along with the hope of a speedy recovery of your older daughters injuries.

    Volt to Tesla Experience

Drove my 2014 volt for 67k miles, picked up my S on Saturday (which now has 500 miles on it) Miss: being able to schedule a start and stop for the charging times. The biggest change other then it is an entirely different class of car was the size difference, the volt is a roller skate in...

    Firmware 8.0

I picked up my new S on Saturday, since then mine has updated 4 times and is now on 2.48.204. I started with some early revision in 8 prior to the cabin overheat protect as that was in the first set of release notes.

    New firmware release 12-10-2016

I picked up my S on Saturday with the AP2 hardware. Yes it does have basic cruise control. When I got it, it did not yet have the lastest update but has in the last 18 hours updated 4 time and is now on 2.48.204. That version now includes the items listed by the OP.

I bit the bullet and bought a .... Volt.

Mine was 2014, never found that setting and was told by the dealer that it could not be changed. Wish I still had it to look. For me it was a killer, since most of my drive is in stop and go traffic (17 miles can take an hour) and the idleing engine meant I was putting gas in every other week...

I bit the bullet and bought a .... Volt.

Having just traded in my volt and our fusion plugin for a S and an X. Keep one thing in mind about the volt, if it is below 35F it runs the engine regardless of state of charge. I found in the winter I was barely able to get mid 70s MPG even driving under 40 miles a day.

    Navigation System

Unfortunately there does not seem to be any of the "normal" options even basic system had 5 years ago. It is funny that the founder of Zip2 who had one of the earliest point to point Nav systems would allow such a stripped down nav system. My wife tends to run waze next to the big screen which...

    Model X November Deliveries

I got that (for my VIN) for my S, but not for the X. I wonder if it is because I have two cooking at once if their (badly written) website and automated emails just don't work right.
  32. B

    Model X November Deliveries

It says "Your estimated delivery window is December - Early January, 2017." Under my VIN ... Which strangely comes and goes on my X but is always there on my S... At this point I have to keep myself from obsessively refreshing the page for each car. We already traded our Volt and Plugin Fusion...

    Model X November Deliveries

We have both an S and X on order because my wife just wanted to try the X when I dropped off the demo S, and well we ended up with one of each an S 75D and an X 90D. S 75D 10/18/16 - Placed order 10/24/16 - Confirmed and got VIN 708XX X 90D 11/6/16 - Placed order 11/13/16 - Confirmed and...

    Power Sharing HPWC

Interesting conversation, one question though how many people add the extra charger to bring there charge rate up to 80amps? We have an X (90) and S (75) on order that show up in Dec. When we bought our current two plugin cars (a volt and a fusion) 3 years ago I installed a 100 amp sub in the...
