    2021 Model S vs 2022 MYP

I traded my Model Y Performance for a Model S LR and it's night and day. The Model S is much much more comfortable and I love the way it delivers its power. The Model Y is great but the suspensions ruined the whole experience for me.

2021+ Model S LR Delivery Tracking

Picked up my new Model S LR in Contra Costa yesterday and I was happily surprised to see that it's delivered will All Season tires. Continental ProContact RX. The car seemed to be fairly well built as well.

    Trade in Y for S

The MYP suspension is just too harsh. It’s amazing when the road is nicely paved but here in Oakland it’s very very uncomfortabl, particularly for the passengers.

    Winter tire recommendations

I am about to get the S LR with the 19 inch wheels. I am pretty sure it will come with the summer tires. I am trading a Model Y performance and I have a set of 4 winter tires, mostly new on Gemini wheels. I understand that the bolt pattern is different between Model Y and Model S but curious...

Wiki MASTER THREAD: Actual FSD Beta downloads and experiences

If anyone was concerned that people would stop looking at the road with FSD, I can safely say that, with the current version, I have never paid so much attention to the road, getting ready to brake and holding the steering wheel very firmly!

Auto pilot in stop and go freeway traffic

With the latest updates I think it's nearly perfect in stop and go. Overall autopilot is really becoming very good. I managed on Friday to do Oakland to Tahoe with one charge and only one autopilot intervention. It was smooth, accurate and felt very safe.

Model Y Performance In The Snow

Off-road mode definitely. I got caught in the snow with the 21 inch wheels and summer tires, the car was stuck climbing a little hill, I pressed off-road and it magically found some grip and managed to climb.

19" Gemini [Mostly Winter] Tire Replacement - Vredestein Quatrac Pro?

Same experience for me. Ride is so much smoother than the 21inches wheels.

Selling Brand New Gemini Wheel & Tires. How much to charge?

The ride is so much smoother and silent than with the 21 inches wheels!

I was the one who bought them and they are getting installed as I type :)

    Wheel Bands for Uberturbine Wheels

I use autopark all the time and never had a single issue.

What will you name your Model Y?

Mine is Snow Y, guess the color !

What did you do with the Uberturbines for winter?

You are absolutely right. I am the proud owner of Model S wheels with Model Y size tires.... They are trying to see what they can do to sort me out but I suspect it won't be smooth. The poor tire shop is the one who will have the most pain and it's not their fault.

What did you do with the Uberturbines for winter?

On my end I ordered a set of Gemini Wheels and tire but I am running into an issue that I can’t explain and would appreciate the genius of this community to help me. I bought those wheels on eBay (Four 2020 2021 Tesla Model Y Factory 19 Wheels with caps OEM Model 3 Rims | eBay) and a set of...

    Tire/Wheel fit on Performance

Thanks! I now have ordered 19inches Gemini wheels, Wintrac Pro tires and the new Tesla chains. That should be much more appropriate to get in the snow.

    Volume drops when bass hits

This might be silly but could it be the headphone safety setting on the iPhone that lowers the volume?

Model Y Shuddering on Steep Downhill

Same happened to me yesterday. The car was at 100% and you could see the regen green line pulsing on the screen. I engaged the cruise control and the shaking stopped but it reappeared as soon as I disabled it. I stopped the car, went outside to see if nothing looked wrong and when I restarted...

    Tire/Wheel fit on Performance

So in the end I ended up driving anyway and I can confirm that we should never use summer tires in the snow. There is absolutely zero traction and a small downhill was done basically sliding all the way through. One thing that saved me going uphill was the off road setting. Without it the car...

Thank you! So this is not an option anymore. Anyone would have a suggestion?

    Tire/Wheel fit on Performance

Hi everyone, I have a somewhat silly question. I am supposed to leave today to Yosemite and turns out that there will be a snow storm and my Model Y performance has the summer tires. I was trying to find a solution to fix today and was wondering if it was possible to fit some 19inches model S...

    CA Delivery

I only have one pic! I picked it up yesterday and everything looked very well built, the car also has the new tail orange blinkers. Very happy so far, the car is less nimble than the model 3 performance but it drives great and feels much quieter.

    CA Delivery

I was very lucky. Ordered a white performance on Tuesday and I am picking it up tomorrow. They had one with the exact config available. I asked if this is one that had been rejected by another customer but they said no, it’s a customer where the financing didn’t work out. Only downside is I am...

    P3D+ Sheet metal pop sound

So far I have experienced it while supercharging and while starting the car when it's not flat (like on a steep driveway or in the hills). It's exactly the same type of bang you get when you put a baking sheet in the oven.

600 miles, 2 weeks old. My wife has the RWD and we never heard it.

    P3D+ vs P3D-

I wonder how much the summer sport tires account for in loss of efficiency. I am planning to switch to the Pilot Sport All Season and hopefully it will be a little better.

    P3D+ vs P3D-

Today, we drove two Model 3s from Lake Tahoe to Oakland. Mostly all the journey on Auto Pilot set at 79MPH and pretty heavy traffic jam. Here is the stats for 184.2 Miles total. RWD with AeroWheel: 35KWh with 191 Wh/Mi P3D+ with 20 inches: 42KWh with 229 Wh/Mi That's quite a difference!

AWD and RWD Might Have Different Suspensions

We own the RWD (with updated suspension) and the P3D+. I can confirm that there is a difference and I find the P3D+ to be much smoother and in the end more comfortable. Something I did not expect at all.

    Conventional cruise control?

Just my opinion but it sounds very over engineered and unnecessary.

    Software Update 2018.39.x (Version 9)

I believe Tesla always made it clear that features that relate to safety will always be deployed to every cars that are hardware compatible. I would expect this to be the case for blind spot monitoring but it would not apply for Drive on Nav which is not about safety.

    Model S 100D 2017 switch to Model 3 performance

I am trading my 2017 X90D for the P3D+. My wife has the Model 3 RW and yes it's not as luxurious but it is so much more fun to drive while still being very practical. The X is a great car on the motorway but otherwise it is still a big heavy SUV that uses a crazy amount of energy to move.

    P3D+ 20” Winter Tires / Wheels

I am planning to swap the summer tires with the Michelin all season and keep it all year round.

    New app functionality?

I think it's very new, just noticed it yesterday too.

    Is Tesla replacing ghosting windshields?

I had the same spontaneous crack! I am on hold to have it replaced because apparently a new windshield that will remove the ghosting is about to be released.

    22" Wheels in Snow

I took delivery of a 90D with the 22 inches wheels on 12/30 and the tires are All Season, Pirelli Scorpion Zero.
