Service Bulletin out on Hard Acceleration "Shudder"

I've experienced this shudder on hard acceleration, but only if the air suspensions are set to anything else than "standard" or "low". Therefore, the SC told me it was normal behavior. :/

Rattle noise coming from front Air Suspension (2017-18)

Both my front suspensions were replaced a few months ago (see my previous post on this topic) by the 77-C part. The rattle came back rather quickly (a few hundreds kilometres after replacement). I told it to the SC which just changed them again "with the very last version". I just checked...

Rattle noise coming from front Air Suspension (2017-18)

I don't have the courage to read through all the posts here, but I had the rattle coming from the suspension for a while and was told by my SC to wait for the corrected part. They installed it today and it looks like it's not rattling anymore for the moment. Part number is (1067361-77-C)

    What are we missing?

Please note that I can't get any confirmation that those dynamic brake lights are coming to S/X though.
  5. Axael

    What are we missing?

2019.8.3 also includes dynamic brake lights on Model 3 in Europe (brake lights are blinking fast in case of a sudden hard brake at more than 50km/h, and if the vehicle comes to a full stop hazard lights start blinking until the car accelerates).

    Software Update 2019.8.x

    2. Except that I could never hear it, it's supposed to be on 19.4.3 (I had it in the release notes). 10. That too I think (19.4.3) 14. Definitely in 19.4.3 I wish my 90D was... ;)

    Tesla autopilot HW3

EM said the FSD should be feature complete by the end of this year. EM said Model Y should start hitting the roads by fall next year. So Model Y should already feature FSD "feature complete" when it's out of the production line, right? ;)

Sorry for the off-topic, but where can I get that service manual with estimated replacement times?

Costs estimation on various repairs (Europe)

Dear members, I'm trying to make an estimate of how much I would have paid for repairs on my car if it wasn't under warranty anymore. As Tesla isn't displaying the amounts on the invoices, I'm asking for your help. If you have an idea of the costs for the items listed in this document (maybe...

    Screen Grabs ~ Dec 2016

I wish I took pictures of all of those when I ordered my car in Belgium... *sigh*
  11. Axael

    New FSD details

And we also know that at least Sentry and Dog Mode could work with AP2, but that Tesla doesn't want it to. So yes indeed, same question: are those features going to be added to AP2 cars when they're getting the new HW3 computer? Since the latest update, the Automatic Lane Change works that way...
  12. Axael

    New FSD details

Which features was he refering to? The Autopilot features, or the FSD features?
  13. Axael

    New FSD details

Well you'll let me know if you ever get an upgrade, and what will be included in that upgrade. :)
  14. Axael

The «Full» in Full Self-Driving Capability

On one hand, it probably means that the HW3 is now live on all new cars? It doesn't mean the upgrade won't happen, IMO.
  15. Axael

    New FSD details

Indeed. But it's not just about the module itself, it's also about the changes of sensor from AP2 to AP2.5: different cameras (at least in the front area), better radar, and improved wiring. They probably didn't change those sensors just for fun... ;)
  16. Axael

    New FSD details

Uh, I'm sorry, but: 1. "No change to sensors" compared to what? AP2 ? AP2.5? Some of the sensors are different between those two. 2. What Elon Musk says is not an official confirmation from Tesla. 3. That wouldn't be the first time Elon Musk says something that never happens... 4. Let's say...
  17. Axael

    New FSD details

That remains to be seen. As far as I'm concerned, I didn't see any official confirmation from Tesla that AP2 cars would be upgraded to HW3. Don't forget that this upgrade will probably mean having to upgrade to the 2.5 sensors as well, which may be complicated. Some say it will just never...
  18. Axael

    New FSD details

Who says they will upgrade the HW for free? They might end up giving some kind of "FSD" (which will not be what we all thought from the beginning.... hence the way they changed its definition a few days ago) for free to EAP buyers (and that remains to be seen...) but a limited one, working out...

    Software Update 2019.5.x

The system now locks indeed on the car in front of you, as well as the car in the (faster) adjacent lane, and that's because AP2+ now does the same thing as AP1: it won't overpass a car going slower than you on the highway, if that car is in the faster lane (left here, right in the UK). :) It...

    Tesla autopilot HW3

So according to you, all cars sold until now will never get the HW3 upgrade? (since it looks like new cars don't have the HW3 either...) I was going to add "even though Twitter messages are confirming they will", but I guess that's another story... :D
  21. Axael

    New FSD details

Thanks for your input. I guess we'll have to wait & see. My car just lost a lot on residual value in 24hours, so buying the FSD for a faire price could be a way to save a bit in the end, *if* this indeed includes a HW3 retrofit. Well, we still have to see NoA here in Europe. On the US side, do...

    New FSD details

What is your thought about the fact that EAP was advertised as being able to do auto lane changes without any driver input?
  23. Axael

    Software Update 2019.5.x

No Sentry Mode in Belgium neither (AP2.5) on Model S.
  24. Axael

Would AP2 ever support the DashCam feature

So, if there's no upgrade path from HW2.0 to HW2.5, how could there be an upgrade path from HW2.0 to HW3.0 as they said a few weeks ago (even if it's only for people who bought FSD in the first place)?

How come Teslas are not popular for Police Cars?

FYI, aside from Luxemburg, there are also a few Tesla police cars in Switzerland, and in Belgium (well, at least two in here, one "anonymized" car and one patrol car).

    Vampire drain—5% after 12 hours??

Do you use any API-connected service like TeslaFi.com? I'm seeing increased vampire drain on my MS90D too these last days, I'm currently disabling the TeslaFi.com reporting in order to see if that's what is draining my battery or if there's something else.

    Enhanced Anti-theft add-on from Tesla

I thought my MS already had an alarm with motion sensor? I mean, if I leave my kids in the car and walk away, the car locks itself and if my kids are moving too much, the alarm sounds. Is it any different from what they released now? Also, I guess the system disengages when the car is...

Software Update 2018.39 4a3910f (plus other v9.0 early access builds)

At least I hope the tweet means we'll get the DON feature everywhere, not only US.
  30. Axael

Software Update 2018.39 4a3910f (plus other v9.0 early access builds)

Well, first we'll see if the blindspot monitoring is actually working fine (it wasn't in earlier v9 versions) and the dashcam feature is only available for AP2.5, which is a bit sad, honestly.

    TeslaFi.com

I'm far from being an expert, but I don't think the calculation with 84 amps is right anyway, and the consumption on the main electricity meter seems to confirm this. As for the cabling, it has been done by a professional which used quite a thick cable and it's only less than a meter long so...
  32. Axael

    TeslaFi.com

Looks like it indeed. The charging session details is reporting the Amps value correctly (28) but the summary displays 84 and I guess that value is used to calculate the used kWh. Any idea what's the calculation for this, btw?
  33. Axael

    TeslaFi.com

@WannabeOwner indeed, the amperage on the Wall Connector is set to 32A, but the car usually displays 28 to 30A when charging. The 84 is clearly wrong as well. And yes, it's a 3-phase installation.
  34. Axael

    TeslaFi.com

Thanks for your answers all. I charged my car tonight at home, taking note of the kWh on my main electricity meter before and after the charge session. My electricity meter increased by 40kWh, however TeslaFi reports a "used" value of 100kWh and an "added" value of 35.94kWh (this one being...

    TeslaFi.com

Thanks for your answer. Nope, I don't use the climate control much (I never set it to "maintain temp" and I never start it remotely when charging in my garage) when not driving. :/

    TeslaFi.com

I need some help. I'm using TeslaFi for a while now, and I'm just about to calculate the real costs of charging my car at home because I'll be installing solar panels. Below is a screenshot of TeslaFi to explain what I don't understand (maybe because I'm not native english). So, my point is to...

Software Update 2018.39 4a3910f (plus other v9.0 early access builds)

True, however I'm not sure about the roll out in the US but for example I received the new maps only 2 weeks ago because my dealership agreed to do the update manually on my car. Otherwise, I still wouldn't have them... are there still owners in the US not having the new maps? You're right...

Software Update 2018.39 4a3910f (plus other v9.0 early access builds)

Unfortunately, I wasn't joking... in Europe it looks like v9.0 will bring us nothing else than: - the UI refresh - the dashcam feature (only if you're on AP2.5) - the blind-spot warning (although it looks like it's not very reliable) That's it.
  40. Axael

Software Update 2018.39 4a3910f (plus other v9.0 early access builds)

The UI refresh is available in Europe. You're welcome. (what, who said I was being sarcastic?)
  41. Axael

Software Update 2018.39 4a3910f (plus other v9.0 early access builds)

If 39.3 is "the one", the rollout is really slow, IMO.

Software Update 2018.39 4a3910f (plus other v9.0 early access builds)

Maybe, but the guy who did the video confirmed it was working quite fine and he was impressed. No, it's a Tesla owner who has a "hacked" car, he's not part of the Early Access.
  43. Axael

Software Update 2018.39 4a3910f (plus other v9.0 early access builds)

The guy who made that video (a member of the Tesla Owner's Club Belgium) has a "hacked" car and was able to download the v9 (I guess the same way BigDog or dennis_d did) and could indeed enable the DON feature. I asked him if it worked outside the US and he answered that it does, so I guess the...

Software Update 2018.39 4a3910f (plus other v9.0 early access builds)

@dennis_d, are all those cameras calibrated (and used?) on cars with EAP only (so without having to buy the FSD package) ?
  45. Axael

Software Update 2018.39 4a3910f (plus other v9.0 early access builds)

We already had the new nav 6 months later than in the US, and now it looks like we won't have all the best new features of v9 either... great. What a disappointment.

Tesla finally announced what happens to referral supercharging after 9/16/18

Well yes, *if* Tesla doesn't change its mind about this also... :/
  47. Axael

Tesla finally announced what happens to referral supercharging after 9/16/18

I'm not. I bought my MS 90D just before the end of the Free Lifetime Supercharging incentive, knowing that the 100D would be released a few days or weeks after that. I chose the 90D instead because of the Free Supercharging because I prefered that instead of the increased range.

Rattle noise coming from front Air Suspension (2017-18)

Service cost compared to other premium EVs

It's interesting, I actually found both while searching for more info after your comment. Rattle noise coming from front Air Suspension (2017-18)

My SC called my today to inform me that the part needed to fix the noises I'm hearing from the front suspension (rattle and clicking sounds at low speed) is "under development" and cannot be ordered at the moment.
