Ideally, I would love for the app to have a navigation feature that speaks with the car to get the current battery level and uses the same analytics as the car nav to give directions based around supercharging. This would take a lot of the planning out of when to leave on longer trips.

That's what I'm requesting.

I couldn't find an efficient way to do this, so hopefully someone can full me in or this can potentially be a future software release. I am looking for a way to plan a trip while not in the car. Since the Tesla's computer and navigation system already has access to the necessary information...
