Multiple M3Ps dropping out of Track Mode for no reason

I had issues when lapping at a small track last summer, but almost never in point to point autocross. So, your theory above seems to make sense to me. 2018 m3p

MPP Comfort Coilovers on my P3 and a few other goodies from Jesse and the crew at MPP.

Sorry you found Jesse and MPP. You are now ruined going forward with expectations of what quality parts and customer service can be.... Joking aside they really are a great company.

Autocross- SCCA EV-X Class vs. SS

I get trying to be prepared for national events, but most drivers will never make that kind of commitment. The scca is great for many reasons, but local events should still try to maximize the element of fun and time on course. 3 runs that "count" at a local event seems too far for the majority...

The quest for wider wheels and tires, 295, 305 and beyond...

I have 275s on 10.5 wide wheels, so I think it helps with sidewall support.

The quest for wider wheels and tires, 295, 305 and beyond...

33-34 front, 31-32 rear on the 71rs, had to be north of 36-37 on falkens

The quest for wider wheels and tires, 295, 305 and beyond...

Success! No issues under extreme autocross use, so it looks like the camber increase worked out well in the rear. The front was just fine also. I have to say the RE71RS is a pretty great tire. I was able to run much lower pressure without rolling over compared to the rt660.

Autocross- SCCA EV-X Class vs. SS

What are folks liking for MPP damper settings with super sport springs for autocross? I have tried the MPP recommended low grip and the high speed track settings and can't decide if I like either better

The quest for wider wheels and tires, 295, 305 and beyond...

My favorite company is the first to reply??? Buy MPP parts folks! Oddly enough, this fitment shows that left and right rear are not poking out the same amount.... Perhaps I need those subframe parts after all.

The quest for wider wheels and tires, 295, 305 and beyond...

So I just moved up to a 275/35/19 on 19 x 10.5 +25 wheels. MPP catalog and the setup is for autocross. Wondering if I will have rubbing issues though in the rear??? Front camber is -3.1 rear is -2.2. thoughts?

Yeah, why not Cody, or Farson, or Lander .... Anywhere that might actually connect the middle of the state.

    Other Owners in Wyoming?

Cowboy state daily is full of spin in favor of the fossil fuel industry. They frequently use old statistics or flat out opinion as some form of rationalization. I live in the middle of Wyoming and find very little compromise, but do think it would be wise to increase the charging footprint. It...

    FS: MPP corkscrew FUCAs

Look at that, ready to go in MPP packaging. I can't recommend these enough. MPP is such a great company and make high quality parts. This will eliminate the Tesla clunk from the original upper control arm as well
  13. D

    FS: MPP corkscrew FUCAs

Selling a used set of the wonderful mpp fucas. I bought the newer version to gain even more negative camber. You can expect 2.4-2.8 degrees max negative from this set. Excellent for street and track use with quick change onsite. ~12000 miles on the set, no issues, just minor rock chips on the...

FS: Compression arms w MPP caster adjustable bearings & OEM compression bushing

Where did you buy the OE compression arms? I think I am about to go back as well. I have the same exact noise and diagnostic headache with these. The last auto x seems to have made it worse also. It is like the bearing breaks in and more easily flops between it's limits on slow speed rough road.

The quest for wider wheels and tires, 295, 305 and beyond...

I don't like the 275s on a 9.5 rim. I think they are a bit less stable and wearing more in the shoulder. I think the 275 likely just needs wider rim then I am using, otherwise the tires seem like they should be great.
  18. D

The quest for wider wheels and tires, 295, 305 and beyond...

What rims are you running? I have the same tires on 9.5 and don't like the result in auto-x.

The quest for wider wheels and tires, 295, 305 and beyond...

For what it is worth, I was not happy with rt 660s in 275 on a 19x9.5 wheel. I previously ran REs in 265 on the same wheels. The RTs needed way more pressure, like 40 psi and still were heavy on the shoulders at the same camber (-2.4) in the front. Maxed out on the original mpp arms. Perhaps a...

Autocross- SCCA EV-X Class vs. SS

Hmmmm, thoughts on benefits vs issues with a little stretch or more tire on the same rim. For reference I think my car was happier on REs 265 on 9.5 versus the RT660 275 on 9.5 ...

Autocross- SCCA EV-X Class vs. SS

Debating going to a wider wheel. I am running 19x9.5 and currently have 275 rt660s on them, but have seen you all squeezing 10 or 10.5 wide wheels. Only 18 or would 19 x 10/10.5 work?
  22. D

Autocross- SCCA EV-X Class vs. SS

What are people liking for the MPP sports coilovers settings when running auto-x? I have mainly used the recommended "low grip, technical track" settings from MPP, but suspect some auto-x specific preferences exist.

Model 3 Tires, Tire Sizes, Types, make / model recommendations, tire discussions, etc

Ok, so I think I have my next autocross setup fitting. 275/35/19 falken 660s on 19 x 9.5 , +35 wheels. The addition of the MPP page mill rotors (+4mm rotor hat thickness) has made for just enough clearance. First event this weekend on the new setup.

    MPP Customer Service/Build Thread

The quest for wider wheels and tires, 295, 305 and beyond...

Currently running RE 71r in 265/35/19 on +35 offset wheels. I am looking at 660s or a052 in 275/35/19 but am not sure they will fit one which tire to choose. Are the 660s coming in wider than REs in 265? Maybe I will just stay with that...

    Rear Toe alignment preferences

I am working on my alignment for summer and autocross. I have the MPP toe and camber arms, so it is super simple to adjust with my toe plate kit (note that I have had a shop alignment previously to make sure it was close and even side to side). What toe specs are people running? Why would...

@codeoverride Did you ever get this resolved? I have the very same thunk sound. Seems like it is the first slow stop from each time I start driving. Subsequent stops seem normal.

Charging Issue Level 2 at Home

2018 M3P, same problem. Mobel connector won't charge (0,1 amp) eventually the car said charging fault. It eventually worked last night on a 110 socket. Then I plugged it back into the 14-50 today and it ramped up to 32 amps just fine. No previous issues for nearly 2 years.

Sasha Anis is a genius magician

Tough choice because both are excellent and very helpful in their own right. The FUCAs would likely give you the most raw time improvement by adding negative camber. They will also help you maximize tire life / usage. But, the coils help control brake dive, corner transition and all the fine...

Sasha Anis is a genius magician

Another happy sports customer here. I do auto-x a few times a year though, so appreciate the competitive edge. I find them really well composed on our terrible roads. Track camber: arms vs coilovers

@MountainPass Another local auto-x victory with my MPP fucas, coilovers and camber arms! It was a domination on a short course, with over a second on the rest of the competition. Tesla torque earns the early lead and the MPP parts let you maintain it.

    First Autocross in the Performance....

I was using the track addict app for onsite video overlays, so think I need the external gps for onsite. I can then create better videos with race render at home (although the track mode videos won't sync) so have used the track addict videos. Are you able to share your race render template?

    First Autocross in the Performance....

I found 36-37 psi was great on my re-71r at my last event. I was also running 2.5 degrees negative camber (MPP fuca, #noshimparty). It felt like cheating the car was sticking so well. I ended up turning in too aggressively for a while expecting more push. @SK360 are you getting gps data from...

#noshimparty Well, first auto-x with all the MPP alignment toys.... Driver mod needed! The turn in and grip is insane. How are people "marking" the front tie rod toe setting between track and street camber (MPP fuca)? Any paint pen or just counting turns? Pictures please.
