I just spoke with a Tesla technician who’s working on the chargers. I guess there were some technical issues, which is why it’s not officially open just yet even though they do work. He was re-attaching some lids that had blown off. I told him that we want this to be open for the eclipse traffic.

I'm bringing a 6kW 240V generator and planning to avoid using it. I'll be down by the border, away from superchargers. There are a couple of level two chargers, but I fear they may be in high demand during this period.

This will probably be needed desperately on the days surrounding April 8, because of the total solar eclipse. I went to the one in 2017 in Wyoming, and the traffic was mind-bogglingly insane.

I have 1200 miles on my new model Y HW4. I've had zero phantom braking. I have FSD, but for now it's crippled down to EAP.

I upgraded to Model Y a few days ago. It has HW4 and 2023.20.100.1. It has the beta button grayed out, with a note that I have to wait for a future release. But at least I have Enhanced AP. It's just like what I had 3 years ago. Not at all like the very smooth latest FSD Beta.

I tried a CD player with Bluetooth, and it would play 1 second and then disconnect - reconnect. I know everybody thinks CDs are stupid, but sometimes I'm excited and want to listen in the car before I rip it and fiddle with files. Video of trying to make it work.

I have wondered, if I can bring my score up to 100 whether they would suddenly give me the FSD beta. But I doubt it.

Thanks for this thread. I had the issue of windows not working and I got a door stuck open. I ended up cycling power from the HV battery and that seems to have fixed it (for now).

I got it this morning in CA. The auto wipers used to wipe when there was no rain. I haven’t tested the update.

From what I’ve seen, V3 chargers use a cabinet that supports four chargers per cabinet. So, V3 installations would tend to be in multiples of four, I would think. Could be this is 4 X V3 + 2 X Level 2? Just speculating.

I checked again last night. No power, but the lights were on. The new parking pad for the handicap space looks like it needs work. It has a steep edge that makes the third parking space totally unusable. Not sure what they have in mind.

I stopped by this evening (1/22). Though the chargers didn’t have power, I could hear the transformer humming! Apparently the site is all ready to fire up, and just waiting for final approval per the previous message.

The telltale sign it’s V3 is the black base of the handle, where it meets the cord. V2 has a silver ring, whereas V3 is just black.

Saturday morning 1/11 still no power. I got a picture of the label on one of the control cabinets. I think it services four chargers since there are four of these cabinets and 16 chargers. It says 250kW per post.

I just tested and there’s still no power. Two spaces are marked EV ONLY, one of which is also a handicap space. Lots of ICE parking in the other charging spaces. .

There is mention of this supercharger on a local Facebook group called My Scotts Valley. Since it’s not a Tesla group, there are some angry / confused people chiming in with the usual questions and comments. If you’re on the My Scotts Valley group, they could use some educating.
