Just Bought Model S - Keyfob Barely Detecting When Inside Car?

For the issue when it is in your pocket, if it is near your phone, the phone will interfere, I believe its NFC frequency that causes interference. But for it not working out of your pocket, like others have said, likely a battery issue. Putting the key in your cup holder should allow it to...

Anyone else's mobile app failing to connect to the car?

Had the same issue about a month ago. Had tried restarting phone multiple times and having the car forget wifi network, use work's network, phone hotspot. Nothing seemed to help so I set up a mobile service with Tesla. Two days before the appointment decided to sign out on the app and back in...

Advice for damaged Model S in Colorado

I had the same anxiety about leaving my car there. Unfortunately, this seems to be the new reality for cars in CO. I don't think its just hail damage but the fact that population has severely outpaced bodyshops (and all other utilities). A co-worker hit a deer 2 months back in his Toyota...

Advice for damaged Model S in Colorado

The Saga Ends I talked to a lawyer, paid $200 for a letter to be sent to the other insurance company and all follow-ups. During initial consultation and was quoted: -1/3 difference after settlement/judgement -$1500 minimum (even if I court awards me $0). I had all intentions of going...

Clicking noise from dashboard in front of passenger side

Was exactly adspguy said it was "Intake Actuator". Dropped the car off at 10am, left with a loaner at 10:20am, received a text that it was done and ready for pick up at 1:30pm. Repaired under warranty. Quick and painless other than having to drive through Denver traffic a couple times, can't...

How long did it take? Did they diagnosed and fix within the same day?

Clicking noise from dashboard in front of passenger side

I tried turning off the Air Conditioning before opening the door but it still made the same noise. Not sure if that indicates that it's not what you are describing bz51, just a data point. At this point it does seem like a non-critical function of the car. I was concern about driving it too...

Clicking noise from dashboard in front of passenger side

I have a 2017 Model S 60D and just recently started (started late last week) getting a ~10 second click that seems to originate from the dashboard in front of passenger seat. It happens pretty much every time when I open the doors. I'm guessing a relay is not correctly contacting when the car...

    Jack Pads

I bought the reverse logic pads after seeing my car get lifted by the battery by discount tires (the jack was 3 long 1.5 wide on both sides so the weight was distributed and I checked to see if there was any damage and there wasn't. I had left for lunch and came back to see the car on the lift...

    Contacting Denver Littleton Service Center

I had a couple email exchanges with the Evans location two weeks ago and were responsive. [email protected]. Another try would be use the phone app, schedule a service appointment and just request for a phone call there or ask your questions directly in the notes section of the appointment.

21" Silver Arachnids with tires and TPMS sale (referral)

Sold. In case anyone was curious on timing. 1) Out of the blue (in early May), I decided to email the referral team to check up on my wheelset. I had made the initial request through the phone app in January for the wheel set. Have not heard anything from Tesla. 2) ~1.5 weeks after, referral...

Seat Belt Shoulder strap anchor point too high

My wife had the same issue. She has sensitive skin and the seat belt would rub/scratch her shoulder and neck. I ended up buying seat belt pads (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0773LR1P9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) which we have been happy with.

    "Cruise Control Unavailable"

April 2017 build AP2.0 version 2019.16.2 I have EAP and paid for FSD. Late last week I started noticing the lane lines no longer show up around the image of the car in my driver display. When I click on the AP stalk, I get the error "Cruise Control Unavailable" but do not receive any other...

21" Silver Arachnids with tires and TPMS sale (referral)

It sounds like it is possible (I have seen other posts that said it wasn't released), sounds like Service Center dependent. If you are willing to call your Service Center to make sure they are willing to release it to you, I'll work with you to have it shipped directly to your Service Center...

21" Silver Arachnids with tires and TPMS sale (referral)

$3000 obo I just got contacted by Tesla Referral and told to set up a service appointment to get my Arachnids installed. I plan to have them ordered to the Denver Service Center (or maybe Superior if that has opened). Would be great if we can get this set up locally and you can just meet me...

Advice for damaged Model S in Colorado

Agreed, I would fight the insurance company on that. Originally my insurance quoted a labor price lower than Stuttgart's price, but I told them that there was no-one else that is allowed/able to do the work so that was market price for labor on Teslas. They understood and quickly agreed with...

Advice for damaged Model S in Colorado

I'm definitely on the fence to just take the money and call it a day. I reached out to my DV appraiser but he is currently out of town and will respond early next week. I am sure once I file for a court case the at-fault insurer will be open to come off their number as they would have to pay...

Advice for damaged Model S in Colorado

Update: I ended up getting my car repaired at Stuttgart. Even though there was five body shops listed, Service King only wants to work on minor dings, I didn't want to work with Gerber because they are a volume repair shop and Colorado Coach, which was my original choice, have had such bad...

    Looking for advice re: accident

Advice for damaged Model S in Colorado

The car is driveable but I had my insurance reached out to the body shop and was told the car is not safe to drive so I will need to get a rental car immediately. I reached out to the body shop to ask if/when parts would get ordered so I can help push it along. Unexpectedly, the body shop...

Advice for damaged Model S in Colorado

Thanks for the advice @dbldwn02. How'd you go about filing the diminished value claim, did you use someone to give you an estimated lost that you used to use as a negotiation point? The current plan is to use Colorado Coach Auto Body as they are approved by my insurance and is Tesla...

Advice for damaged Model S in Colorado

Long time lurker, first time poster here looking for some advice. I was rear ended in my March 2017 Model S yesterday on the interstate after a 18-wheeler in the lane next to me couldn't stop in his lane, started veering into my lane (a dedicated carpool that you weren't allowed to enter or...
