    Disappointed with Jeda

Appreciate the thread merger. Sorry I didn’t post here earlier as I thought it was a dead thread. I would ask for a refund if they ever communicated with me. I’ll likely dispute the charge on Tuesday.

    Disappointed with Jeda

I ordered a USB Hub from Jeda on April 26, 2022. After a few weeks, I inquired as to the delivery date. They told me it would ship late May. It is now July and I have not received my order. I have contacted them multiple times and have received no further update. They simply do not respond...

    Pre-2019 HW3 upgrades

I decided not to go there when the schedule for my service was too far out. I have had good luck with them before though. I did confirm that my profiles remained after the upgrade and did have to log back in to Netflix and Hulu.

That’s not good. Which service center are you using? I used the Torrance once on 237th.

    Pre-2019 HW3 upgrades

Same here. I had it done yesterday and I just had to re-pair my phone for music. I haven’t checked out Netflix or Hulu yet.

    Charging to 100%

That’s more like a 3% degradation but I wouldn’t want that from a brand new car. I would want a new car.

    Charging to 100%

Just charged to 100% today and typically do it a couple of times a year. Made me wonder how often others are doing it. I’ve had the car since 6/3/2018 and driven 18.5k miles. Noticed about 1% battery degradation which isn’t bad at all. My signature has my configuration. Please respond to...

    Echo Auto In Model 3

The device appears a bit klugey as connections can drop and come back. It allows uses up a lot of data so I'm not sure it is worth using too much. It did make me appreciate the OEM capabilities of the Model 3 more though!

    2019.28.3.1

Two weird things this evening on 28.3.1. First was Nav switched from showing next turn and heading up to showing the entire route with North up as I neared my destination. Second I got a notification that climate control had been on for extended period of time while sitting in my driveway. It...

    Tesla not honoring referral code

I gave my referral code to a friend who got his SR+ a couple of months ago. The supercharger credits have not appeared on either my account or his. We have pinged Tesla many times about this and they keep telling us they are looking into it. I have given up and never expect to get these...

is California updating license fees correctly? question for new owners

VLF is 0.65% of value based on the purchase price/value when acquired and drops for the first 11 renewal years (so by about 8% each year). FFVR 34 So it goes by how much you paid and drops by a percentage every year. The current selling price of a new vehicle identical to yours does not matter.

Got a new, white Model 3, and the quality is dreadful [Humor: Model 3 toy]

I call FUD! OP is clearly a short seller. Have you seen his posts? If OP is being truthful, he would call Tesla and I’m sure they would make it right. Instead he comes here to complain. I’m sure he’ll never come back to post how these issues were resolved. If I were him, I’d also get this...

NIssan Leaf is a Better Car Than the Tesla Model 3?

I owned a 2012 Leaf and really liked it. Was sad that the battery had to be replaced at 62500 miles due to degradation. Was also sad to sell it when I bought the Model 3. The Leaf was a nice BEV for a commute only vehicle but battery degradation and no OTA updates as well as getting fast DC...

Strange incident on commute this morning

Happened to me once on a previous version. Tried the reboots to no avail. I even called service about it and they were going to schedule an appointment several weeks out. I drove home and parked. When I got in the car later to drive somewhere else, everything was back to normal. Has not...

Is this the right car for me? Advice needed!

I find EAP to be useful. I still am monitoring auto steer closely and TACC has been useful in all kinds of traffic. Overall it reduces fatigue but doesn’t eliminate the need to pay attention so I find myself not using my phone more. You should make a prudent financial decision. You could buy...

Is this the right car for me? Advice needed!

10 months and over 11,000 miles. Had to have inside door panel insert on rear passenger side replaced (ranger did it in half hour), charge port door replaced (could have been fixed by gluing magnet back on but ranger replaced entire door in 15 minutes), J1772 adapter replaced, and steering...

    Well Chevrolet sounds French.

What’s the dumbest thing you’ve heard about EVs?

Here are my calculations for comparisons: Drive 14,000 miles/year and 2 to 3 long trips per year. In an ICE, at 30 mpg and between 15-16 gallons/tank = approximately 30 fill ups in a year. Driving from home to gas station and back (9 minutes each way = 18 minutes) plus 2 minutes to fill up...

    WiFi extender please help

Appreciate the feedback. I currently have a non-mesh TP-Link that works okay but would like better coverage throughout the house and out to the car that's parked outside my garage. I'm using an extender in the garage but the signal is still weak. My other concern is that the TP-Link router...

    LR3 is too efficient

Actually as a consumer, I am able to somewhat control the energy generation as well in several ways. Some utilities allow you to buy cleaner energy and other folks (such as myself) can power their EVs at home using solar power. In fact, I feed power to the grid as I have more than I need for...

Instead of calling it FSD should we call 10% self driving?

I’d suggest you stop letting your pets drive your car. I found my drives much less stressful once I did that.

    I love........

Speaking of love - anyone make out in your car yet? My then girlfriend/now wife used to do so in my Audi back when. Don't answer if you aren't comfortable with it. I am just curious to know how accommodating the Model 3 is to that activity.

It's Nice When You Exceed the Rated Range

I am under 75 years and I drive.
  34. 9erDog

It's Nice When You Exceed the Rated Range

Serious question - is there more of an impact to range due to 70+mph speeds or jackrabbit starts and high acceleration? I suspect the acceleration is more of an impact and understand that how long you are at speed and how many fast starts you do will also influence the range.

    Help!!!! LEMR VS LRM3

I don't envy you guys the decision. If the MR had been available when I ordered, I may have been tempted as I was looking for around 250 mile range. The LR was my choice and I am happy with it because now I don't worry about charging even on long trips, back to back trips around the home area...

    Help!!!! LEMR VS LRM3

I would get the LR. Plenty of performance and range is the most valuable luxury in an EV. $3K for 50 miles rated range is a no-brainer in my opinion. I think you’ll regret not getting the L

    Screen burning hot

My wife just noticed this today although she said it was warm - not hot. She said it cooled down after 20 minutes of idle time. Wonder if there is a cool coat we can use on the back of the screen to help? Another thought is to direct some of the A/C towards the back of the screen to try to...

PSA - Buena Park Service Center provided Excellent Service

I had 5500 miles on the car and did not document or need to document them on delivery as they appeared later. The Great Key fob unboxing

I truly am sorry for those of you that need the fob. I guess we are lucky that our phones are working pretty well for us. When I got a loaner S recently, I found the use of the fob to be very clumsy. Boy do we get used to modern conveniences (when they work) awfully fast!

PSA - Buena Park Service Center provided Excellent Service

The S they gave me was fine and had about 10,000 miles on it. It was not very efficient compared to my 3. The S is just not the right car for us.

PSA - Buena Park Service Center provided Excellent Service

Not sure but those Superchargers do tend to be occupied most of the time. I've only charged there (or at any Supercharger) in over four months of ownership so it doesn't bother me much. I do expect to use Superchargers (not necessarily at Buena Park) for a long drive over Thanksgiving weekend.

PSA - Buena Park Service Center provided Excellent Service

    Model 3 Software Updates

Okay a few days in with new update and NoA does some odd things. For instance it always wants to change lanes and often slows down quite a bit (from 70 to 50 mph) before making that change. I had other passengers with me so I disabled it. EAP worked fine without it. I’ll try something other...

2018.39.7 - able to make 90º intersection left turns with lead car

My wife's Autopilot works very well for her including making turns, starting and stopping whether or not there are other vehicles in front of the car. Sometimes it drives too aggressively for her or doesn't slow down enough to let her take pictures and then she gets mad and yells at it. She...

    Model 3 Software Updates

I got 42.3 this morning and have Nav on Autopilot as well as fob support and regenerative braking. Used NoA this morning and it worked pretty well in my busy SoCal commute. Also used it on Mad Max mode and it appears to do lane changes like a normal person in this area now. It does seem to...

What would you do? Keep or replace this service damaged car?

Wow! I would ask for a different car at the very least because even if they fixed it up perfectly, I would always know what had been done to the car. The EAP and grand of service credit would not be worth it to me. YMMV.
