Update 2021.32.22 bricked my LEMR [not related to update -12v battery failed during update]

Tesla briefly made a "Limited Edition Mid Range" (LEMR) Model 3 before they started making standard range. Anyway, my LEMR got this update (2021.32.22), and I had no problems driving this morning with none of the errors mentioned.

    Supercharger - San Luis Obispo, CA (LIVE 5 May 2018, expanded May 2020, 14 V2 + 4 V3 stalls)

I'm charging here right now at 9:45am, 6/12 stalls full. The mobile charger still isn't available for use, but it definitely looks ready to go. I think they are just waiting for it to get busy, before letting anyone use it, so it will last as long as possible today.

    Supercharger - San Luis Obispo, CA (LIVE 5 May 2018, expanded May 2020, 14 V2 + 4 V3 stalls)

I was there at 3pm today and there were about 20 cars waiting in line. I didn't need a charge so I left. It seemed to indicate one stall was always open, (which was false) which probably added to the lines. No mega charger truck thing here today, supposedly going to be there tomorrow though. My...

    Supercharger - San Luis Obispo, CA (LIVE 5 May 2018, expanded May 2020, 14 V2 + 4 V3 stalls)

I'm here right now, the mobile station is super cool! There's a few engineers from Tesla here. I talked to one and he said this was their first time doing this. They knew SLO was going to be a high traffic area this Thanksgiving. It seems to be doing the job, there's consistently like 4 spots...

MASTER THREAD: 2019.36.2.1 - new HOLD mode and other features

Sorry if this has already been asked, but for scheduled departure, how long does it keep the cabin at temperature for? For example, if I have my scheduled departure time set for 6am, and I end up actually leaving at 8am, will the cabin's temperature still be maintained? Or does it shut off after...

Supercharger - Montecito, CA (Rosewood Miramar, LIVE 4 Sep 2021, 8 urban stalls)

Yeah, the Miramar is pretty incredible too (pricey though). I think review typically takes like 1-2 months from what I've noticed (but that obviously varies on a case by case basis).

    Mid Range waiting room

My VIN disappeared right after getting it and making payment on 12/12. Yesterday, it was 48 hours until my scheduled delivery date and I was getting a little worried because I no longer had a VIN. I called Tesla and they had no update. I stopped by my local delivery center and got some...

    Mid Range waiting room

Ahh okay. Even though my delivery is scheduled for 12/15 on my account, since my VIN appeared then disappeared today, it is likely more than 5-7 days out?

    Mid Range waiting room

As of yesterday, I had no VIN or any new update, even though my scheduled delivery date was 12/15 on my account page. Mid Range waiting room

I didn't get any more contact from Tesla, but my account online was updated with a delivery of 12/15 at my house. I'd prefer to pick it up from the delivery center that's like 2 miles from my house. Would I just call the main Tesla number to request this change?

I also just got the second text, "Update on your delivery timing: We expect your Model 3 to be ready between 12/9-12/15. A Tesla rep will reach out when it is time to schedule your appointment." Ordered 10/18, red, black interior, aero, EAP. Located in Santa Barbara, CA. Excited! Could get it...

    Mid Range waiting room

I have a red/black configuration as well. Ordered 10/18, located in Santa Barbara, CA. I received the first text but not the second. I optimistically think that people who received the first text are generally going to be getting their cars sooner than people who got the second text.

Anyone seen any reports of a red MR VIN getting assigned yet? I don't see any indication of that on the tracking spreadsheet or anywhere else. same motor LR vs SR

Here's the quote: “Some electric car motors use the permanent magnet technology, probably the most famous is the Tesla Model 3 Long Range. All the other Tesla models — Model X and Model 3 standard — use induction motors,” said David Merriman, a senior analyst at metals consultancy Roskill. I...

Model 3 standard range postponed until Early 2019

Oh, I agree this is the only way to do it now! I just think they had always planned to do it this way (in terms of when they are producing each option), and that they were misleading in their previous delivery estimates when they indicated SR would be produced before LR demand was fully met.
  29. C

Model 3 standard range postponed until Early 2019

I agree. How many people would buy a LR Model 3 right now if they could? I think like 50,000 people is a decent estimate. It's hard to interpret exactly how many Model 3's they hoped to produce in 2017, but I think it was along the lines of 50 in July, 100 in August, 1500 in September, 20,000...

Model 3 standard range postponed until Early 2019

I appreciate them attempting to give us some information for delivery estimates and understand that they have to adjust these estimates. However, I still feel like they never planned to produce SR as soon as they claimed which is why I feel misled. From a business standpoint, it makes sense to...

Model 3 standard range postponed until Early 2019

Any thoughts on how the AWD wording change being talked about here might indicate when the standard range (SR) Model 3 might be produced? Dual Motor no longer offers range choice To me, this shows that they were initially planning to produce AWD with SR or long range (LR), but decided to do...

Superchargers in Southern California (location speculation)

I talked to a guy at the Santa Barbara Service Center today about Superchargers being installed in SB. Superchargers in Southern California (location speculation)

So I listened to this podcast to find out the exact source on this. They start talking about this around 1:08. Pictures of Model 3s with 18" wheels without aero covers

Thoughts on EAP for the 3

I'm having the hardest time deciding if EAP is worth it for me. I drive about 60 miles total daily on a highway for my work commute, but the highway has pretty bad lane markings for most of the part I drive on (The 101 in California, between Santa Barbara and Ventura). I am just not sure if AP2...

Superchargers in Southern California (location speculation)

Just got around to stopping by the Santa Barbara service center tonight. I talked to an employee there and he said he had no update on when the Santa Barbara Supercharger would be constructed. San Luis Obispo CA Supercharger Here's a thread where someone took a picture of the Atascadero Supercharger sign mentioning a 10 stall San Luis Obispo SC coming early 2018. I'll ask the Santa Barbara service center tomorrow if there is any update for a Supercharger in Santa Barbara.

Factory Tour then Trip Down PCH - List of "Must do" things?

Definitely go that first route. I grew up in Morro Bay, Taco Temple is a great choice (much better than Bayside Cafe). Be sure to try their desserts! New CA bill AB1184 being considered: Up to $10K rebate for EV purchases

Gotcha, that makes sense. Assuming this makes it out of committee, it looks like the bill has to be passed by the Senate by September 15th I think. Then looked at by the Assembly?

    PCH Tips and Recommendations

Anyone have experience with Autopilot 1.0 or 2.0 between Santa Barbara and Ventura on the US 101 Northbound/Southbound? It's my daily commute and I'm curious to how it performs with the poor(ish) lane marking and curves.
