I live in NYC and have been using these options - all these are charged options (cheaper to expensive) 1. Newport Mall - Jersey City (we go to NJ often) 2. Brooklyn - Atlantic Ave or Williamsburg or Museum 3. Two Super Charger garages in Chinatown

Twice last week had issues with this location - very low speeds & sometimes charging dropping to 0. Haven't gone back there in last 3-4 days - anyone who recently charged here had similar issues ?

Yes you should be able to enter-exit Newport Mall parking garaga anytime.. the garage uses automated machines for entry and exit

Any idea around the costs - which has been issue with the NYC superchargers

Wow - thats a bummer - it is a go to site for me for charging since it opened - surprising that its down in few months of being operational.. let's hope the issue is resolved quickly - fingers crossed.

Called the above number - got to Construction Dept - they said they just do work once it comes to them and they don't have it in their schedule yet and who then punted me to Customer Service where after 20 mins hold said they had no idea unless i have work order number. *Sigh

I was planning to call - 18007220256 the PSEG Construction Dept but can call any of the 3 - however not being JC resident not sure Mayor office would care about my call

Share how it goes - I don't mind being one to call tomorrow and maybe we get some more volunteers - not much to loose I feel considering how this is being dragged

Duh - This is frustrating - this was suppose to be up in December Should we line up folks to call everyday - dunno if it will help :(

I have used this couple of times this month and all 4 were functional - however since there are only 4 super chargers - its a very busy location so you need to factor that in as well

I am in Manhattan and have been tracking the website closely as well - i am not sure of exact manhattan locations but if anyone has any idea - i am willing to do the leg work to go check the locations.

Anyone has idea about what the hold-up is for this site to go live?

I ended using this location 2 times this weekend - Fri@7pm and Sat@9pm - no issues at both times - plenty of empty spots as well during my stay

I have used the Menlo Park chargers many times and never had to wait for one - its usually been only 2-3 cars max anytime. Ofcourse the disclaimer is that I haven't specifically tired it on a Thanksgiving weekend.

Thanks - agree that shouldn't be an issue at all. Can't wait for this location to be functional. Coverage in North NJ and New York is extremely poor

Parking in Newport Mall is paid - so does that mean we have to pay for parking to use this supercharger?

I am eagerly waiting for the Jersey City location to come up - cant wait. Newport Mall charges for parking so would be interesting how it would work if they install it there - i thoought they might do it around Liberty Science Center or around there

Surprised they charged you $10 - I have used them 4-5 times so far and they always charged me $5

I haven't found a reliable garage in Manhattan so far - most experiences have been bad with charging (i am in downtown) - the Brooklyn Supercharges is only 5 miles away and is a nice area so it works well to go there after dinner and have a full charge in an hour for $5

It's a valet parking facility so i haven't seen the charger myself - they drive it up a ramp and park where they charge - its worked well so far for me and $5 doesn't bother me

I live in Manhattan and have driven here couple of times - pretty reliable place and $5 gets me close to full charge in an hour - will be my "go-to" place until the NYC charger pops up

Thanks davidswelt - do you know if the hotels only allow charging if we stay there as I typically do a AirBnb when I come down.

Planning to visit my daughter in State College PA in mid November - hopefully the utility gods would have showed up by then
