I have that light on my 2018 X built 10/18. It lights up when the FWD is open. If yours ever had the door panel removed, it's possible the wire for the light wasn't reconnected. The speaker grill just unclips to remove. You need to do this to access the emergency door release.

No, the screen doesn't need to be on. Under bright light or the UV light, I can see the outline of adhesive but during normal driving, I don't notice it unlike the yellow which was very noticible.

What worked for me yesterday with a pairing problem was to unpair/delete my phone from car, reboot car, unpair/delete car from phone, reboot phone then pair. No problem since.
