I made an iOS app for generating/managing API tokens

I don’t know Android development, but maybe this would give me a reason to learn ;)

I made an iOS app for generating/managing API tokens

True. You don’t. However, if you can judge my source you don’t need this app in the first place.

I made an iOS app for generating/managing API tokens

For those who need it and don’t want to mess with manually generating them. The app will automatically renew your token when it expires and remind you to update your apps/sites that use it. Everything is stored securely in the system keychain and it never stores your Tesla.com credentials...

    Tesla Token by Bryan Bartow?

@Daniellane App developer here. Oddly enough, I was just coming to post about the app when I saw this. The API tokens the app generates are for use on sites which require a token instead of your Tesla.com credentials. ev-fw.com and teslafi.com are examples, but there are plenty more. I, myself...

    Model 3 Software Updates

Got an update notification earlier. Just finished installing and the car shows the previous version is installed. Anyone else experienced this?

    Maintenance Schedule or Plans

I'm not going to make that assumption. I will take it to the SC unless someone around me wants to be the guinea pig and can vouch for a 3rd party shop.

Static/crackling on some random slacker songs.

I get it maybe once a month now. Putting on 200-300 miles per week. Weird, but not a big deal IMO.

Does basically every owner here use HomeLink?

Works on my garage and gate. Love it.
  11. spudnik187

No text messages through the UI?

I do this with “Hey, Siri”. Not that big of a deal. I thought I would miss CarPlay way more than I actually do.

    Model 3 Software Updates

I think what ultimately needs to happen is Speed Assist uses the cameras to read the signs.
  13. spudnik187

    Model 3 Software Updates

    Yep. Much improved.
  14. spudnik187

    Model 3 Software Updates

I think if Speed Assist were reading the signs this would not be an issue. However, until that happens it's definitely an issue.

    Model 3 Software Updates

@MP3Mike @MikeBur Yep, they're in conflict. When I move the lever down and release TACC sets its speed according to the speed determined by Speed Assist (in my example 45 MPH + my 3 MPH offset) instead of the ~30 MPH I'm driving in that area.
  16. spudnik187

    Model 3 Software Updates

I would like to be able to be. For instance, the 1-mile stretch leading into and out of my neighborhood is 30 MPH. For some reason, GPS data has it at 45. If I decide to engage TACC I'd like to be able to use the scroll wheel to move it down from 45 to 30 before engaging. Otherwise, I engage and...

    Model 3 Software Updates

Got 12.1 earlier this afternoon. I was bummed to find out that the right scroll wheel can control follow distance when AP/TACC is not engaged, but it can not control speed. That only works when it’s actually engaged. Am I missing something?

    Model 3 Software Updates

It's been a whole week since I've been there. I should drop in.

    Model 3 Software Updates

I feel like the wait for firmware updates is almost as bad as the wait for the car itself. Did the SC update it or did you actually get it OTA?
  20. spudnik187

Does Homelink work with your Model 3?

Works perfectly on my Liftmaster garage door opener and no name community gate opener.

    Are you registered on ev-fw?

    2018.12 for Model 3?

My guess is the signal was weak (maybe only temporarily) and it fell back to LTE. Mine has connected every time I've been to the SC, which, unfortunately, has been 5 or 6 times in the first 5 weeks of ownership.
  23. spudnik187

    2018.12 for Model 3?

You said it wouldn't connect to the SC WiFi, which I was refuting.
  24. spudnik187

    2018.12 for Model 3?

    Not true.

    Texas Hold Up!

My understanding is they intended for it to be a temporary screen protector to last the duration of assembly/shipping/delivery and that it would be removed once the car was delivered. Mine started to bubble up within 24 hours of having the card and using the screen. I installed a matte protector...

    Congrats.

    Texas Hold Up!

Yeah. I was mostly used to it by now since I had 10.1. I have not encountered a situation yet where it didn't work and is much more reliable for me than the previous versions.
  28. spudnik187

    Texas Hold Up!

Got it today. It showed up the second my Homelink opened the garage-almost as if it were triggered by it. Anywho, the AP updates are legit, as others have alluded to. I was previously on 10.1, so I already had rear seat heating controls, etc.

    2018.10.5 Arrived

Got the update today as I arrived home. I was previously on 10.1, so the only thing I was looking to test was AP. Just took it out a bit ago around my neighborhood and onto a couple city streets with 45 MPH speed limits. It is definitely better. I don't have an S or X to compare it to, but I'm...

    2018.10.5 Arrived

I'm getting mine with 10.1 back from tint/wrap this morning. I've got an appointment at the SC on Thursday. Hopefully, they'll update it while they've got it if it doesn't happen beforehand.
  31. spudnik187

    Texas Hold Up!

Nice. Picking mine up tomorrow morning. I'm curious to see how the back turns out.
  32. spudnik187

    Texas Hold Up!

@ummgood If you want to come up north a bit, I'll let you check mine out over lunch. I just can't bring myself to drive downtown for any reason.
  33. spudnik187

    Texas Hold Up!

Congrats to everyone getting invites. It is absolutely worth the wait. Speaking of waiting, I was supposed to get mine back today from tint/wrap, but I got "the call" yesterday saying it wouldn't be ready until Monday. So, for anyone keeping track at home, I took delivery of my Model 3 on Feb...

    Texas Hold Up!

Agreed. It's crazy efficient but does not feel any less performant to me than the Model X 100D nor Model S 100D that I've driven.

    2018.10.1

Honestly, I haven’t been paying much attention to it.

    2018.10.1

Here you go. Taken exactly 9 hours apart.
  37. spudnik187

    2018.10.1

I believe it’s only SC. I can’t find any way to connect to any networks manually.
  38. spudnik187

    2018.10.1

It does connect to WiFi at the SC.
  39. spudnik187

    2018.10.1

Good call. I’ll check right now and in the morning.

    Texas Hold Up!

You might need to send her to equality and sensitivity training.

    2018.10.1

Hadn't been paying close attention. I would check tonight, but I dropped my car off this morning for PPF, tint, etc. When I get it back later this week I'll check.

Dear Diary: Dropped the car off this morning. Miss it again...
  44. spudnik187

    2018.10.1

Yes, 10.1 fixes this. Mine was doing the same thing and hasn’t done it once since the update.

My car has gone slightly haywire

Got my car back on Friday, but forgot to report back here. Turns out the issue with mine was a bad brake switch. They replaced it and everything is working great again.

    Texas Hold Up!

Just got back from road trip to Dallas. AP almost the whole way both ways. Man, I love this car. Wish I wasn’t already giving it up again tomorrow. BTW, I stopped at the Waco Supercharger going up and back and it didn’t look like I was getting charged either time. Anyone know why? The SC in...

    Texas Hold Up!

~$4,400, I think. I’ll confirm tomorrow morning and report back.
  48. spudnik187

    Texas Hold Up!

Got my car back! It was a faulty brake switch, which they replaced. They updated to 10.1 while they had it. Rear seat heaters work, as does the improved backup camera. I haven't noticed any difference in AutoPilot yet, but it's a small sample size. The best part of this all is I get it for the...

My car has gone slightly haywire

I should add, I don't have an Android phone to try. I only have an iPhone X. Neither it or the key cards could lock or unlock the car.
