Have you tried opting out/rebooting the computer/opting back in? That worked for me 3 weeks ago, although my car is on somewhat old OS version (2021.43.201)
+1, it wiped my score as well. In the past you had a while until the score reset, I guess they changed that because even just toggling it zeroed it out.
Same - got bumped to summer, but pushed back to February. I did update my trade-in to make sure my profile was complete, I'd love to know if anyone got bumped and bumped back without filling all of that out.
I'm kinda curious if tesla will be forced to keep fixing these for free after warranty since failing lights are a safety hazard, so they can't get away with the same bs as the yellowing screens.
FWIW my wife has a 2011 audi and it's LED DRLs are still like new.
Awesome, in the week since i posted, the DRL in my driver-side light has basically completely died.
I really hope there's a longer-term fix for this, i don't want to be on the hook for replacing these yearly once the warranty runs out.
Are both of these on the way out? How uniform are the lights normally? I think they've been fading gradually, so i don't really remember.
I had one of them replaced already in the past because one of the LEDs completely died, but i wanted to make sure these merit contacting Tesla. I did take a...
I haven't seen this mentioned, but at least for me the new update has vastly improved the distance at which it detects the status (color) of the lights.
On previous builds it would detect it at maybe 2-300ft, which meant that I've always had to stop manually to avoid hard breaking.
With the...
I'm in the same boat, i think that advanced toggle is largely a placebo to appease the masses - I have FSD + AP on a MS that's always on wifi, got the email, and i have yet to be in the first batch of any of the software updates.
I also have one of the last MCU1 MS75Ds, would love to upgrade. I'd pony up some cash even though the new LR would cost less than the sticker price on the car I bought a year ago.
Yea, no, not buying it.
I went to my car and checked, and i don’t see any way that i would hit that switch when getting out of the car.
Not to mention that i would very likely notice the window rolling down while i was closing the door.
It’s happened to me a couple times, i thought maybe the remote has some secret combo to roll down the windows like many (at least German) cars do.
Both times the driver’s window was down all the way even though i was 99% sure that it was up all the way when i left.
My only point is that if he followed instructions and paid attention, he would have seen the barrier and not crashed into it. AP isn’t FSD and the driver is expected to participate in driving.
I wasn’t even mentioning Tesla’s report as far as the holding the steering wheel comment - that’s what the AP says every time you turn it in. Ultimately, if had been paying attention and had his hands on the wheel, he would have had plenty of time to react. That’s where the inattention comment...
I think the driver’s family has no case against tesla in a court of law - All of the instructions and warnings say to keep hands on the wheel the entire time and not to rely on autopilot for avoiding everything. The driver had a unobstructed view of the barrier and should have reacted.
The court...
Going back briefly to autopilot performance, i had some problems at night with slow (25mph) twisty roads by my house.
I tried using AP2.5 autopilot, but it was incapable of navigating sharp-ish turns even though the road had good lines on it. Hopefully tesla can improve that in a future update...
i don’t care if scrolling the maps around is faster or about the browser.
My main worry is that tesla will add some new features, like better nav or some kind of FSD overlay that will require the new MCU.
If tesla is having a hard time drawing a map on a fairly low-res screen using a chip that...
I wish i had that option... I picked up my car 3-4 days before the new MCU was discovered in the wild :/
I would have most likely sucked up another 3 month wait.
Does tesla read these forums? i know that they check the ones on tesla.com, maybe it would be worth starting a MCU2 upgrade thread there so they know that there’s plenty of demand for it.
Huh, if this is true they’re really staggering the updates. My car is 2449XX, comes with the new vanity mirrors but the old MCU. Production date was 2/16.
Is there any actual confirmation that the Intel-based MCU actually exists for the MS? Can anyone who thinks that they have it dump out the browser info, for example using Information about your Web browser from JavaScript?
DC, i wonder if our cars are on the same transport. My car ended production on 2/16 as well, delivering to Rockville. My DS told me 3/10, hopefully it’ll show up ahead of schedule.
