Thanks guys...I know I'm keeping you in suspense for the radar...any day now. I have 2 radars sitting in the basement.

I do have a full time job, and have been busy filling orders from my eBay store and the Tesla folks on the discord server. There are plenty of folks who have received products from me and who are now enjoying OpenPilot. I apologize for not giving TMC more love but I’m now in the position of not...

A comma ai set up for a model s

The AP1 visualization is called instrument cluster implementation, and root access to your car is required to make it work. Additionally if you are past firmware 2019.20 then as it stands right now there isn't a way to gain root access. If you want the visualization stop updating, and once...

Any AutoPilot competition from other manufacturers?

I have been using OpenPilot on my 2013 S85 for 2 years now. I have recently started packaging everything together as an all in one kit which has everything you need to install OP on a pre-AP model S. My kit also includes a comma pedal which has the ability to control the accelerator pedal, so...

I am now offering a complete plug and play Open Pilot system. For $999 plus shipping you get an Eon and Panda with the latest Tesla software pre-installed, a 10 ft usb cable, all the mounting hardware, and a custom Tesla harness. What you don't get is a Comma Pedal, and AP1 radar, but those...

    OpenPilot, comma.ai and George Hotz

I just completed an OpenPilot installation video. It doesn't cover flashing the Panda or installing any software, but it gives you a good idea of what the install entails. I agree that the Model 3 is better with AP 3.0, but a Model 3 costs $42,000 and OpenPilot costs $1,000.

Comma AI doesn't officially support Tesla vehicles, so all the development and hardware is being designed by a community of enthusiasts hoping to add level 2 autonomy to older vehicles.

I will look into how much a complete starter kit is with everything you need to get up and running and I’ll post it back here. To protect myself I’ll ask for the payment via PayPal upfront, and I’ll Use that to purchase the hardware from comma. Once I get the hardware I’ll make sure all the...

A comma ai set up for a model s

When you say complete kit do you mean everything to get openpilot working (eon, panda, and harness) or do you mean all the bells and whistles (eon, panda, harness, pedal, radar and all associated wiring). I can do a starter kit which will get you up and running right now. I’ll get you a price...

    Preventive eMMC replacement on MCU1

Just curious here. I have a very early 2013 model S with 133,000 miles. I was wondering about autopilot implementation and the eMMC. Since the early cars don’t have autopilot, and mine doesn’t even have tech package, does that limit the amount of logging Tesla is doing and this increase the life...

There is not a manufactured solution but I can make custom harnesses for your car. What year and model do you have. If it’s a 2013 I need the month of manufacture as well.

    OpenPilot, comma.ai and George Hotz

I’m currently running Openpilot 0.5 on my Model S. It’s similar to autopilot 1. It’s not very good if the road lines aren’t painted well or if the road is very twisty (neither is Autopilot) but it’s pretty good on most highways. Check out these links. I’m in the Tampa Bay Area if anyone wants to...

    Gen 2 TPMS for sale

I am not a model 3 expert, but these sensors work on continental tpms systems. The model S switched from a different system to the continental system sometime in 2015. I would suspect that they have used the same system ever since on all their vehicles including the S and X. Hopefully you can do...

Is it possible to find a Model S for under $35K?

I bought my non-tech package s85 with 99k miles for $35k but had to search far and wide and ship from CA to FL. The car needed a door handle fix a good cleaning and the rear bumper had some cosmetic damage. Total cost to fix was $1k since I did the work myself. The car is in great mechanical...

    Rear Facing Seats for Sale

I understand. When you take it in have the S.C. remove the hip strikers and barrel nuts and save the associated bolts so the buyer doesn’t have to source them. I’m looking to spend somewhere between $1000 and 1500 Plus shipping. -Ryan
