Stupid question but how hard is it to remove the bottom usb cover….since I’m having it replaced, I want to make sure it’s a simple snap off clips part and not a major adventure. I have to say it’s worth the screen upgrade….huge difference

I phoned Tesla after I looked up that it is a simple plug and play part to see if they would replace it and sure enough they said yes and set up a mobile visit!

My layout is like yours with the big icons and not the ones like Maaz and I am on the FSD beta too. Totally forgot to mention they would not let me keep my old screen.

Screen was completed after 2.5 hours and firmware update. It appears to be working but I have not had time to play with it. No major damage from Tesla except a nick in the bottom of the trim. Still waiting 2 hours and can confirm that the tech told me they need to update firmware to fix. Not sure if it is necessary but that’s what I’m waiting for and the screen is off from what I saw. 🤷‍♂️

Original Black Calipers that came with my 2022 Model X Plaid. They are in perfect condition with zero cosmetic issues and are professionally ceramic coated. They are available for pickup in Corona, CA. $1100 obo…that’s less than 50% the cost of them new from Tesla.

Soooo Tesla showed up today and thanks to you guys….I asked the mobile person if I could see the part and sure enough it was the old one. She got on the phone with parts and made a few calls and said it was some sort of special order and could take anywhere from a few weeks to 6 months...

They won’t let me even order the new red calipers and the rear screen seems like vaporware. Maaz….tell your friend who got you the components that fell off the truck I’ll double...

Part was 600 and for them to install and tax it came out to about 760….still waiting though

Tesla pushed back my install to April 8th. They said they could not get the part in time. Will update after install.

I put in a service request to replace the rear screen with the new part number and low and behold….quick approval for mobile install for 726 total! One down…..brakes and power frunk left to do!

quick question maaz...what brand, where did you purchase, and who installed your auto frunk motor??? super smooth! want one for my X plaid but am always worried that anyone who touches it will result in some sort of rattles...it is quiet now and a virgin to any mods lol
