I just drove by and didn’t see any signs of construction.

Ridiculous. Especially when summer is when people travel a lot on LI. We were stuck waiting in line for 1/2 hour on 7/3 in syosset which easily would have been no wait had Islandia been up. And for extra bonus the new plainview sc was temporarily offline on 7/3 the worst day for that to happen.

Hopefully soon. However if it helps, the plainview sc is now up and running.

Tesla.com now lists plainview as an active supercharger site so we should investigate.

Graffiti still there too

As of yesterday 6/18 still looks same as in St50’s post. All ready and no meter. I agree with Ken. All should have been agreed upon up front. Had that been done, it would have gone live in May.

Very sad. I hope they go on line soon. We are so close.

I called the main number at tesla l, probably not as good a contact as mysteryelectric. They have me no dates just “hopefully soon”

The strange thing is that the valley stream supercharger went online already and I recall watching progress on the southampton charger from construction to operation and it went pretty quickly as well.

Still shows under construction on supercharge.info. It’s a shame they couldn’t go live last week for the Memorial Day Hamptons rush. Seems like it easily could have happened if all worked together.

Looks like construction on the valley stream started after Islandia yet VS is already up and running. Not that one has anything to do with the other, but it is same PSEG utilitiy, so hopefully Islandia will be running soon.

There are chargers at the rest stop but you need an adapter to charge the Tesla.

I’m here now. It’s still not live. Looks great though.

I just drove by as well and I agree looks ready but unfortunately in typical tesla style it’s not done yet. Here’s to hoping it goes live soon.

Not much progress in the last week. Tesla charging signs are up.... still fenced off.

Progress! I can’t tell if it’s all hooked up but looks like the station could be hours away from going live! We shall see what the next few days bring.

I heard the food establishment is going to be Wendy’s. Hoping for SC in the King Kullen shopping center.

$660k for 1300 sf condo with no upgrades.

The new Country Pointe community has options for condo units that do not have garages. However, they are pretty expensive, so there will be Tesla owners that live there with no way to charge. So, the SC will come in handy for them.

As of Saturday 4/7 much progress has been made! I talked to one of the workers who said next step is electricians. Hopefully it will go live soon!
