Yes, same. I've scheduled my retrofit for like 6 weeks from now to give the SC's plenty of practice. Hopefully, it'll all be quick and routine by the time I take mine in.
EDIT: Also wanted to mention something weird. I have 2 Model 3's: 11XXX, and 63XXX. The only one that was flagged for...
Well I was under the assumption it would be the Auto Center, not the actual attached mall store. The Auto Center is still up and still for lease. My understanding is that owners are asking too much for the financials to work for Tesla.
My 2013 Model S has that noise, which I thought was because it was an older car. Now the 3 does it as well, but only since the 16.2 SW update. I too am not sure if it's because I'm using the AC more now that it's hotter or if it's from a SW change.
Yes blame me all you want! BUT if Tesla would have given everyone the same price for an UNDELIVERED product, there would be no complaining. You can't screw people who give you support by taking advantage of that.... #deadhorse #dislikescommence
After and before: (8.5 vs 5.15)
Seems interesting that I was 0.04s faster after the update (which is nowhere near 5% performance increase -- I would have expected at least 1/10th sec faster) and my 0-10mph shortened by 0.04s. There are variations in different points of the run as below. Same...
They can still honor the FSD purchasers. This post was likely removed because it heavily focused on the price cuts for AP and FSD, which of course have been reversed. And there was this tweet after the price changes were decided to be reversed....
LOL, right.... Honestly though even if they are or arent suppposed to be like that the slight 1mm gap just at the tips doesn't bother me considering all the other installs I've seen. Now if all of the others looked perfect, then I might feel differently....
I think you are a fortunate guy! 11/100ths improvement is much better than most, and you had a great time to begin with. I only got 4/100ths improvement no-rollout time of 3.42s -> 3.38s
My ends look like yours. The tech who installed says it's 'supposed' to look like that. The middle of yours is messed up though. Mine sits flush in the middle
@evster Can you tell by looking at the SW update controls if it is just a notification that you can check to manually initiate download OR is there a 'check for update' function which can then be downloaded and applied?
Really hoping it's the later.... I'd be disappointed if it is just a...
On the flip side my wife places entirely too much trust in the mileage. She thought I was silly when I said we'd have to slow down to 60mph to make it to the SC on a recent trip. In her mind the range was like 40 more miles than the distance traveled so we'd be good. Sure enough I slowed to...
Got mine installed Monday. Fitment is better than most I've seen here, I helped the tech so that it was a 2-person install. It fits mostly flush on top, with a couple of areas where you could just fit the corner of a sheet of paper underneath. Difficult to appreciate otherwise. The spoiler...
Always did distance, but it's really never correct. Knowing in general the range I get at 100, 90 and 80%, it really is only useful to track if if my need for range is getting close to those limits. So I started tracking %battery instead of miles range. Am I crazy?
TESLA: We need everyone on FSD to train the NN and recoup HW3 R&D.
TESLA: If you didn’t buy AP, instead of the $11k you’d have to spend, get it for more than half off!
Owners without AP: Sweet!
TESLA: If you didn’t buy FSD, instead of the $4K you’d have to spend, get it for half off...
Is it too late to get the 5K refund? Tesla did right to offer it, so I wanted to do right by them and decline it -- you know support the mission and success of the company and all. But with this latest fiasco they have shown me that they have no problem screwing over their earliest supporters...
Got my appt for spoiler. Assuming the worst and that it willl be Mobile service's 1st install, what are the best methodolgy I can apply to get the best fitment?
2 Person install
decklid prep
masking or duct tape for 24 hr after to cure
anything else to avoid the reported fitment issues?
Ryan, please report back here when you get installed. Seems on the first set of installs the fitment has been inconsistent, with some folks reporting gaps between the body and spoiler in places. Thanks!
Agree. They screwed up. Should have been advertised:
- RWD
- AWD
- AWD Performance
- AWD Performance with Track Upgrades
When Track Mode software hit, no one would have batted an eye that it only came for cars with the "Track Upgrades" package.
Interesting that all these changes would be mostly moot if Tesla
- had changes once a year
- labeled them as '2018', '2019', etc
- announced the changes 4-6 weeks before they happened.
Wonder what the cost/benefit is like for Tesla. Benefit being able to price change quickly in response to...
I think he means the core functionality is there. And it is. But it's not perfect, and arguably not even that good. But with time the existing feature set will become more and more refined, such that even if they add no additional new features, a robust/refined NoAP will be what people expect...
Yeah I read that on tirerack.com too. As you say is a generality about all summer tires.... from a tire reseller. hmmmm.....
I have 3 cars so what I meant was keeping it garaged (never gets below 40 in mine) when the freezing weather hits and driving my 4Runner 4x4 instead. My parking at...
Hey ho, fellow Knoxville peeps! Can you provide a link to the "Michelin's warning"? Not saying you're wrong, I just looked and looked (and looked some more) and couldn't find anything about it on their website, nor in their users manual/warranty guide. They DID give warning about using winter...
Yeah, it goes something like the VIN has an attached open work order and parts are being shipped from Tesla HQ to the service centers. So whenever you're lucky enough to have your VIN get the parts sent the SC will contact you. Kinda stinks that we don't know the order... I'm betting it's...
I'm wondering if their other conclusion about an imminent update to the HW3 computer is right though. Seems they are using past rollout for current prediction. While I hope they are right, I'm skeptical. Looking forward to hearing any updated info on the conf call...
Maybe pack energy density and/or size is the answer. When you can travel super-long distances, even if you are not doing the driving yourself (autonomous driving), traveling more than ~8hr without stops is brutal. Longer and longer ranges mean less frequent charging, less vehicles need...
I mentioned it in my post, but probably didn't emphasize it enough.... I'm definitely talking about on-the-road and destination charging. SC network is good (could be better -- more locations, more stalls per station, etc) , but could be even better with collaboration from the rest of the...
Is anyone other than me disturbed by the fragmented nature of current/future charging plans? It would seem Tesla, Porsche, VW, Rivan.... as well as charge-only providers such as Electrify America, Charge Point, et. al. are rolling out a future where only some chargers can charge some EVs, but...
Seems like all my initial concerns have been addressed. I did not know that the app already does (or is supposed to) tell you when the station is full enough to start accruing idle fees. Also with the station occupancy indication on the latest version of the app, I'm really satisfied that I...
