Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Sorry about the 25k car not coming soon but trying not to get too hung up on it. I think the new 'variants' are a net positive. They will revive growth and also, exciting to me, is they should include improved FSD hardware which will enable improvements in autonomy- maybe level 3.

On the last call Elon said the next gen car will begin production mid- 2025 with volume production 2026.

I think what is said about the next gen vehicle will be key. If they reiterate it is on track for 2nd half of 2025 I think we rally from here. If they are postponing it or are ambiguous about it, we resume the slide.

Upon further reflection I think it can't help but pass. If it didn't, Elon may step aside and no matter what you think of him, the stock will tank. If you are a large shareholder you are commiting suicide of your TSLA position with a 'no' vote.

I see the vote on the compensation package reinstatement as another risk factor. What will Elon do if he loses the vote?

Thanks for the info. I hope they can find enough batteries for the 'model 2' from somewhere to keep the timeline intact for volume production in 2026 (or 2027.) I feel that Tesla will profit from the 25k car sooner than from robotaxis. I hope the plan is to make both simultaneously.

Does anyone know what the situation is with the Tesla and CATL partnership to make batteries in the US? This tweet by Troy is concerning. I know he gets a lot of criticism but he has been the best on the P&D #s and is generally credible I think:

I don't see why many would buy the Model 3 even with the refresh in the US when it costs more than the Y after the tax rebate. Am I missing something? We have been lambasting Tesla for the super slow ramp of the refreshed 3 but are a significant number of people going to buy it anyway? I see...

One factor in the lowering of forecasted q1 deliveries is the apparently VERY slow ramp of the Fremont refreshed model 3. Considering how easy the transition was for Shanghai, I am wondering why the delay for Fremont. Could it be Tesla is figuring a way to make the refreshed 3 eligible in the...

You seem to only post here to promote BYD and I am skeptical of some of your claims but I am also a BYD fan. Charlie Munger was the catalyst for the BYD investment as he bought into Wang Chuanfu 's vision back in 2008. Thanks for the refresher. The battery day slide does suggest the next gen vehicle will use LFP. With that vehicle likely to outsell all the other Tesla vehicles combined and the seeming unlimited demand for LFP megapacks, should not Tesla consider making their own LFPs or at least partnering...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

BYD chose to use LFP batteries from the start and Tesla now uses significant amounts of them. Do we know if the next gen vehicle plans on using LFP or 4680s? If we don't know, what are some guesses? Also, could Tesla make LFP 4680's?

He could consider a lease as my son is. For the base model 3 it is $329/mo with $4500 down. For a 2 year lease it is $250/mo with $4500 down. He will have to return it when the lease is up but prices will likely still be in today's range and lower when the Gen 3 arrives so hopefully he can buy a...

I believe Gen 3 is the most important thing on Tesla's horizon and I am excited that the first production of it will be in Austin but I haven't seen where Tesla has confirmed this and I don't read that in your quote. Did I miss Tesla saying this or is it mainly educated, high probability...

In February Elon said the interior trim was the llimiting factor for the X. I'm guessing it still is. The higher prices along with the long wait times show low production is not due to low demand. As the demand for EVs in general grows I see the demand for the S & X growing resulting in...

Elon has said Berlin would be the first to use the structural battery pack. I think it has been presumed that this structural pack would be built around 4680 cells. We find in the call that it could be 12-18 months for the 4680's to be in volume production. If the 4680s are not ready by the time...
