Charge Stats Not Showing In App

I now have charge stats working on my droid, kinda. All updates are current. I have to sign in with my wife's credentials to get it to work. IMHO, that's bogus.

    Charge Stats Still Missing

    Safety Score

I get many front collision warnings even with nothing in front of the car. I seldom use the brake pedal, regen is great. How do I see our safety score? My wife can, I have a different email address and PDA. CAR: 2022.16.3 Droid: 4.11.0-1155

    Safety Score

Again, this so called "safety score" is something a parent or insurance company would use against you. The only metric in the "safety score" that should have an impact on getting the FSD beta is Forced Autopilot Disengagement. That means you're not paying attention and may be at risk while using...

Seniors wishing the glovebox had a physical button to open

Thanks. Yes, I assume the magnet is on the stalk. Which must be moved into the close proximity of the sensor. Get it almost close, no go. I had experienced the same issue with my M3 and after I started moving the stalk completely, the issue went away. Hall effect switches are very useful. I...

Seniors wishing the glovebox had a physical button to open

I have ridden with many drivers in cars with lots of buttons and they are always looking down at the dash or reaching down and fiddling with the buttons trying to find the "correct" combo. Why, as a driver, would you want to lean across the car while driving to open the glovebox and rummage...

    Safety Score

We bought FSD when the car was new. Still waiting. "Class action?" We shall see.

    Safety Score

The Tesla safety score is bogus. It's something written by your parents for permission to drive. "Extreme" braking, "aggressive" turning and following too closely takes place daily in commute traffic. The "forward collision warning" system is constantly spoofed. We Tesla drivers are being...

MASTER THREAD: Tesla Insurance Services in California

Looking at moving the M3 from CSAAA to Tesla insurance in coastal CenCal. The quote for equivalent coverage was very reasonable. The rep said that they revisit the rates every 6 months. Has anyone had experience with this and what have seen the rate do? And what has your experience with Tesla...

    Cabin Filter replacement

20 min job. You do have to contort some, but at least the steering wheel is not in the way.

California renewable energy production with falling demand

If PG&E management had spent the money on the available power in the US grid instead of thinking about their bonuses, there would be no rolling blackouts.

Six weeks into Jaguar i-pace ownership - maybe lemon-law candidate

Hey, you got the beautiful interior. That's their selling point. Remember, it's a Jaguar plus you have now met Sir Lucas, the Prince of Darkness. BTW, I own a number of classic British vehicles and had a service shop dealing with them, among others, in the '70's.

If you fast charge, Tesla will permanently throttle charging

30K miles on our 2018. About 40% supercharging due to our long trips. those are charged at 100%. The rest is charged at home at level 2 80% with an occasional 100% charge as a precursor to a long trip. Sometimes we charge when at 50% but occasionally at 10%. No notice of either battery capacity...

Seniors wishing the glovebox had a physical button to open

Not a senior yet, only 75 YO. All those arguments are IMHO fallacious. Why, as a senior with reduced driving capabilities, are you opening your glove box while driving? Actually, even in a vehicle with a button release, see the above. The climate control is very effective. Where you fiddling...

Accident - Got hit from behind

Similar accident. The little girl was on her PDA in a big Toyota PU. She had limited insurance due to many many priors. They called our insurance and pleaded that because it was a Tesla, they wouldn't be able to cover the full amount. AAA said, "We'll see you in court". The cat was driveable...

    Brake Cooling Ducts

@MasterC17 You might want to consider SCAT tubing for your ducting. Smoother and will resist a higher temperature. 99% of the ducting on racing vehicles is done with SCAT. @pdq sez "Actually someone not on meds, former P90D owner who realizes strengths and weaknesses of Tesla products versus...

    IC-7100 Ham Radio Install

Nice install. I've been mulling over an install since I had to uninstall my full mobile station to sell a car. Don't expect much HF activity with a mag mount. W3AB

Windshield wipers are horrible, and arguably dangerous

We've been having buckets of rain here in CenCal lately. The auto wipers work as well as our ICE vehicle that is equipped with them. No chattering either. However, I keep my windscreens scrupulously clean all the time and apply Rain-X® about once a week during the rainy season.
