    Undercarriage retaining water?

Yeah. I have same issues. I am resigned to having old blankets/towels between the car and drywall to prevent water damage in the garage. I mentioned it to the service center and they just chalked it up to design.

Huge amount of water in garage after rain, car wash

Sorry. This is probably a stupid post but I did a search on the forum and checked the manual and no dice. There is a LOT of water that collects under the 3 in the garage after a drive in the rain or a car wash. It’s so much that I have to mop the garage to prevent it from ruining the drywall...

    Defog sucks

Thx everyone for the feedback. Above is a very good point. I found this explanation and advice to be helpful too (and, no, I don’t work for Allstate). Tips for Clearing Up Foggy Windows | The Allstate Blog

    Defog sucks

Have had the vehicle 3 months. VIN 24xxx. The windshield fogged up pretty bad driving home tonight. We turned on the defog setting and it do anything. It was so bad we had to drive with windshield wipers on at low setting even though it wasn’t raining. I’ve sent an email in to service to get it...

Vendor Tesla Model 3 | DIY Ceramic Coating

Cool. Thx for response. I guess the most efficient way to do it is touch up car after ceramic coat wears off which I’m guessing is about 1 year from what I’ve read, then touch up car, then reapply the ceramic coat. Just have to live with the inevitable accumulation of chips and scratches...

Ceramic Coat a new Model 3?

It took 5 hours but I did it myself. Wash. Claybar. Isopropyl alcohol prep. Cquartz UK 3.0. Reload finishing spray (comes with Cquartz) All in about $100 Skipped some steps including polishing but very happy with results. Only thing I wish I did different was buy an orbital polisher for the...

    Hot air AC

Thx for all the input. The ranger was fixing the headlight alignment to make it flush with the hood and I mentioned the AC issue. He looked into it and it turns out there is a faulty sensor that needs to be replaced. He said it’s a known issue. 1 hour in the service center. Scheduled for next...

Vendor Tesla Model 3 | DIY Ceramic Coating

Sorry probably a dumb question but if I apply a ceramic coat, does that mean I can not use touch up paint to fix any rock chips, scratches, etc?

    Hot air AC

1000 miles in. Love the car. Took it on a Houston to San Antonio road trip and back. What REALLY sucked was getting hot air blown in our face for the first 15-20 min on the way back even though our AC was set to max low temp. My guess is all of it was being diverted to cool the battery. I’ve...

Getting seatbelt warning with child seat

Have this issue as well. It would be nice if you could disable the warning. Popped up repeatedly on a recent 4 hour road trip. 2 1/2 year old 35 pounder in a latch-system car seat. Will try the seat belt behind the car seat. If that fails, spring for a spare buckle on eBay or amazon.

    Auto-close skipped after Summon

Version 2018.24.1 There was some fit and finish stuff that a ranger was sent out to work on and he was nice enough to push the latest update. Summon is great as my wife has a big SUV and not much clearance to get out while parked beside her in the garage. But this skipped auto-close this has me...

Keeping car on while loading up the family

Thx for the response. However, I just tried putting the car in park, and leaving the phone in the car. Went inside the house and came back out. The AC and music had turned off. I guess I could leave the driver door open with the phone in the car, but kind of sucks when it’s 100 degrees out.

    Auto-close skipped after Summon

Homelink and auto-close and auto-open are really cool. However, after I summon my car out of garage I get “auto-close skipped”. I have gone into settings for homelink and enabled auto-close. Auto-close works fine if I just pull up to garage but it’s only after I Summon car out of garage that I...

Keeping car on while loading up the family

Love the car but a few issues. Hope someone can help. When packing up the fam into the car, we put the little ones in the back. While wife waits in front seat, usually go back and forth in and out of the house a couple times to get water bottles, toys, etc. Unfortunately the AC and music do not...
