The speed data is all over the place and Tesla relies on both visual and map data and there's constantly some conflict between them. Can drive past temporary signs, and 50% of them get detected, then suddenly it increases to the map speed and vice versa. Some places it just drops to speed limits...

If they find a problem, they might have to retrain, then it might fail some other place, then retrain again. They launch it in another region and it misbehaves there. Retrain again. I am not sure if they can get the robustness / safety balance right, but we'll see.

Wipers are going on when approaching white LED street lights. Super annoying. Maybe it's the stripes / halo. The misbehavior is consistent

There's a difference between high res map, and a shitty map with outright wrong speed limits. In regular AP I would love to turn the whole feature off so I don't have to keep the accelerator pressed for long sections of my trip because the posted limit is way lower than the actual.

None of this is happening right now though. Maps even dictate what signs to read. And they seem to have totally neglected updates and maintenance of this map data.

Will the "recall" mean fixing all the incorrect speed limits? They should fire their current map provider for those.
