    P3D+ fastest 0-60 for cars under 60K?

Literally nobody in Europe would contemplate a Corvette due to the fact it can’t go around corners properly.

    Model X v9 update...

I’m still waiting for my X (2018 75D) to be sent the v9 update - am I alone?

    Model X: Software Updates

Amazon delivered mine today; just need this darn update now!

    Model X: Software Updates

I’ll sleep with some anticipation then!

    Model X: Software Updates

Yep - we collected on the same day. Mines had three updates in two weeks, but they all seem to be the one with the PIN access, so why I’ve had more I don’t know!

    Model X: Software Updates

Thanks - what is a ‘rooted car’?!?

    Model X: Software Updates

Has anyone in Europe, specifically the UK, received and installed the latest v9 update yet? My 2018 MX is currently on 2018.32.2, I gather 2018.39.whatever is imminent but being new to Tesla I don’t know if the US goes first and then it rolls out to the rest of the world?

    Locking the FWD buttons...

Hi. Does anyone know if it’s possible to disable the interior FWD buttons? I know the child lock function prevents the open button from working, but not the close button. The reason I ask is that when I’m putting my 3yo into his seat he sometimes reaches forward and presses the close button...

(UK) - INSURANCE for company policy - ouch!

I know DL are competitive but I chose to buy the Tesla using my business as it’s tax deductible and DL won’t insure if the owner or keeper is a business; only individuals. LV seems to be the best I’ve found as my current fleet insurers are playing silly buggers.

(UK) - INSURANCE for company policy - ouch!

Is there/was there a recent spate of thefts? I’ve been looking (prior to reading your post) but not found anything to back that up?

(UK) - INSURANCE for company policy - ouch!

Hi SamUK. I’m collecting from Milton Keynes - it was brought forward to today from Monday which is far more convenient given MK is an hour and a half away from the office! I’ve managed to get a quote from LV (separate policy, which I didn’t really want to do); I will speak to my broker though...

(UK) - INSURANCE for company policy - ouch!

Hi - has anyone here (in the UK) tried adding a MX to their fleet policy? I'm collecting my Model X this Saturday and my business fleet insurers (AXA) have a decent premium BUT a £2,500 excess even for the windscreen! Direct Line (as recommended by Tesla) won't cover a business-owned vehicle...

New Owner Questions - Model X Chrome Delete, Powder Coat Wheels etc.

This seems to be the case for most I’ve spoken too - but they’re all very keen to do one and get the photos for their Facebook pages! Be great to hear how you get on; I haven’t yet had time to visit any of the companies I’ve contacted but hope to once I’ve picked up the car.

New Owner Questions - Model X Chrome Delete, Powder Coat Wheels etc.

Hi SamUK. I live just a few miles from Ely and collect my 75D (red multicoat with cream and oak) on 3rd September! I’ve had quotes from some local refinish specialists for painting and powder coating the wheels ranging from £75 per wheel to £120. There are two schools of thought it seems...

    Charging: a confused new owner...

I see; we run an Amarok (on and off building sites frequently) and until we rejected it recently the new Discovery (great car, when it works!). When we needed to look for another 7-seater we were stumped really. I’d looked at the S before, and it works as a business purchase, so we took...

    Charging: a confused new owner...

No - they’re just moody sometimes ;) My company manufactures bespoke timber framed homes, and retails timber too, hence my trips to Swindon (where we have a presence at the National Self Build & Renovatoin Centre). I usually try to combine client visits at the same time but ordinarily that mean...

    Charging: a confused new owner...

Re Swindon - I couldn’t agree more! Awful journey from Wisbech - A47; A603; A43; M40; A34; M4. Been doing the same journey for about 15 years and bored to hell and back with it. I’ve already downloaded a few of the all neatly tucked away into my ‘Telsa’ folder, but thanks to your comprehensive...

    Charging: a confused new owner...

Erm - I do hope not! I was told it would give me 22mph? 10 would be a problem! Or did you mean 10 x 3kwh per hour?

    Charging: a confused new owner...

Good point, and no, chances of multiple business trips are narrow, which has just reminded me that absolute worst case scenario is we use the other car! My main client concern is longer trips for leisure breaks where charging will be more problematic (Devon and Cornwall, for example).

    Charging: a confused new owner...

Hi Hiroshiy - thanks for your reply. I’m on Wisbech; nearest Supercharger is Thetford but I’m unlikely to go past or close (last time I did was about five years ago, on my motorbike!). Most common journeys for me are return journeys from Wisbech to: MK, Bicester, Swindon, Birmingham...

    Charging: a confused new owner...

New to this forum, and new to EV’s. I’m taking delivery of a Model X 75D early in September 2018. I know I can charge at home at a rate if 22mph, which is fine UNLESS my wife or I go away on business. Superchargers are few and far between where we live (East Anglia), and I’ve tried looking...
