    LR AWD Waiting Room

I've had mine since Thanksgiving. I paid 64.5k including taxes. Your only regret will be not having gotten one sooner. I would not accept7.5k and give back the last 7 months with it. Just got done with a 7200 mile 25 day road trip from NC to Yellowstone and back with it. My wife and I camped in...

Is Range Anxiety Fake News? Let's Drive 1012 Miles to New Orleans!

7200 mile 4 week trip from Wake Forest, NC to DC to Chicago to South Dakota to Devils Tower to Yellowstone to Denver to Rocky Mountain National Park to Denver again to Huntington WV and back to home. No range anxiety, no route deviation save for a few miles off the main route to Supercharger and...

60 amp circuit breaker with 14-50?

House came pre-wired with 40amp breaker and place to install the 14-50. Electrician said wires could support 50 amp breaker so had him install it and the 14-50. Only cost me $250 and could have done it myself, but even though the job only took him less than 10 minutes, I had him order everything...

60 amp circuit breaker with 14-50?

Based on feedback from more experienced people than I, Looks like I will stick with the UMC, no additional cord and just hope I remember to pack it on my first trip. Might not even need it on the trip but better safe than sorry. Thanks all for the feedback!

60 amp circuit breaker with 14-50?

I'm just thinking about the trips. And with supercharger, I am pretty sure I don't need anything extra. Only time it would come in handy would be if I went to visit somebody.. "Hi. Do you mind unplugging your dryer so I can park in your hallway to be close enough to plug in? Thanks!" $520 for...

60 amp circuit breaker with 14-50?

Have 14-50 outlet 50amp breaker. Am thinking of buying "corded mobile connector" for $520 which LR M3 will use for in garage charging so I always have the bagged UMC in car. Also wont be unplugging "corded mobile connector". Thinking "corded mobile connector" will allow M3 to charge at 40 amps...

60 amp circuit breaker with 14-50?

If 40 amps went through it (which wont happen) it would be unsafely hot
  8. C

60 amp circuit breaker with 14-50?

I cant comment on 60 ft question but the "corded mobile connector" is not an adapter so much as it is the cord that would be different from what comes with the M3. I am guessing the cord is thicker. What comes with the M3 gets warm with 32 amps during charging.
  9. C

60 amp circuit breaker with 14-50?

If I am not mistaken, for LR M3, charging cables that come with car are only good for 32 amps, so even if you have 50 amp breaker allowing 40 amp charging, you would need to purchase "corded mobile connector" from Tesla at $520 to get the 40 amp charge rate. With cables that come with the car...

SICK and TIRED OF THOSE WHO WONT TRY IT

Left? Right? SPEWS. SPins and skEWS. Both sides media are against Tesla. Oil on both sides. You'd think there would be a bit more love for a disruptive US company. Tesla is likely here to stay and time will get more people to try and more to like and as Tesla grows up, maybe more unification of...

SICK and TIRED OF THOSE WHO WONT TRY IT

Haven't heard anyone who didn't like the car. The company? If not for the overwhelming product satisfaction of others, I would have gotten my money back and run. Useless reservation deposit and apparent disregard for configuration queue of many. Rolling the dice on FSD. Betting on it to...

If you are cash, you may not get an edit button. I never had one and since the end of July order, they have been in no hurry to get me a car even though I never changed a thing. No edit seems to be a thing with cash buyers.

I think they throw darts when it comes to delivery. I had reservation from over a year ago which I am pretty sure didn't help me one bit. Although I had a potential delivery for 11/17, that's been cancelled and supposedly they will pull another one from production. Some people get them in 10...

i really dont know, but that seems to be the way things have been. Someone chime in if they know the reason behind that. Maybe give Tesla a call. I didn't care as I wasn't going to change anything from the getgo.

If you are all cash, that may be reason. I ordered end of July, never an edit button.

Never contacted Tesla. Never changed configuration. Only contacted by Tesla via the EOQ text show. Email today from point of contact with Tesla model 3 team Christine Dias with tentatively scheduled appointment for Nov 17 with delivery hub of Raleigh.

wcorey said he talked to them yesterday, so I am using that for my cutoff for prove/disprove. I've never called them but at least I know they know I exist because I got the text at the end of last month along with everyone else so am satisfied for the time being. I have no basis in fact for any...

From what I've read here over the past month, much of the verbal correspondence people have with Tesla is not to be believed whether "we've got a vehicle real soon" or the "no shipments currently to the east" I'm skeptical, but may be true. Only way to disprove the statement for me is to see...

My delivery estimate is Sep-Nov. As long as they don't miss that, I am fine. Would have been nice to get delivery in the earlier range, but when I dropped 2.5k, they gave me a delivery estimate which I feel is reasonable. After dropping the 1k, I figured I would be on a waiting list in the 2 yr...

I agree. They got both camps waiting for a long time for an unseen car that is being bought for full price and people hovering over their keyboards or keypads for hours at a time united in misery because they don't have it yet

In many ways we think alike. I was in a bad position from 96-98, but I did make sure I got my match on my 401k. Price I paid was coming home at night to a 45 degree house when I lived up there in Middletown. I do have to thank my ex because I learned to live with a LOT less disposable income...

Its almost like tey are blindfolded, spinning in circles and throwing darts. Some people who are way ahead of me in both the reservation and order dates didn't get squat. I think 95% of people including myself will be dissapointer after the 30th. ME? I'm expecting to get my car in NOV. My...

    AWD delivery thread

Right now I don't have a huge disposable income. but I do have a nest egg. My car is probably costing me $20k of earned income from way back through a few investments over the time period. And some of that came from between 92 and 96 which could have been applied to car payments instead. Full...

    AWD delivery thread

Buying a $60,000+ car requires a substantial disposable income. That helps, but if you keep a car that's paid for and invest/save the $500 a month instead of paying someone else every month, in 10 yrs or less, you can buy a $60000 car. its not what you make, its how you spend what you make...

As long as you leave with the car, its all good. If only 12000 people got the text, im more hopeful, but still expecting November. I was guessing considerably more as in everybody from August and before, but that was gut guess only.

FWIW, we have progressive and are paying a little over $500 every 6 months for a 2016 Rav4 full coverage and a 99 camry. liability only with about 500k coverage. stupid question but i have more where this comes from, How did everyone who wanted AWD know that anyone with or without a reservation could order one back in June by paying the $2500 and placing order. I didnt think I had a chance of getting one until about 2 years from when I made the $1000...
