Can I pair a spare Model S keyfob to a Model 3? Or are they different?

Have just ordered a 3LR to replace my old S, and am being offered a keyfob for $235 and a UMC for $550(!). But I have a spare keyfob.

WTB: any Model S 19" wheel for spare, Brisbane

Title says it all really. My 100% would be a local pickup in Brisbane. If I don't find one I'll go buy an aftermarket wheel, but I'd rather a Tesla one for the TPMS.

Modern Spare: anyone bought one in Australia?

I looked at their spare for Model S, and the shipping almost doubles the price of the unit when sent here, so wondering if anyone has organised to import any. I sent off a message to them to see if they had a distributor in Aust, but not expecting to find one. Has anyone any experiences with...

Insurance recommends for a 2016 S90D in Qld

It's insurance shopping time again. AAMI has gone up $200 in a year for me, from ~$1200 to $1400, all on a falling amount insured. That's a rise in premium of ~18% in one year when the inflation rate is, what, 1.5%?! Any other options people like or dislike? Or do I grin and bear it?

    Any experiences using PlugShare API?

Wondering if anyone had tried to use this on a website or app or some such. Specifically, I was musing about being able to do something that isn't directly possible: query AC charging stations that have tethered cables. (example: the Warwick university site does, but the Schneiders used by QESH...

Find out what options your car actually has? (high pwr charger)

Is there any way I can independently (from the MCU, ideally) find out what options the car has? I'm trying to determine whether my S (2016) has the high power charger option or not. Was told originally (verbally) that it did, but there's no mention of it on the bill of sale, and I can't charge...

Why doesn't TACC/AP follow changes in the speed limit?

Always wondered this. The system knows the speed limit when it engages TACC or AP and when the limit changes, so why doesn't the car follow the change automatically? (Model S AP1, I assume the later cars are the same)

    NRMA chargers: reciprocal with RACQ?

When the NRMA chargers in NSW go members-only and paid for non-members, does anyone know if RACQ members get reciprocal arrangements like they do with road service?

HPWC wiring question: switch between off-peak and retail power?

This is probably a question for any sparkies out there. When I was getting my WC installed, I asked whether I could have a contactor that switched it over to off-peak power when off-peak was running, but left it on the retail meter when it was not. I was told that was illegal, and the only way...

Space saver spare wheel for S?

Wondering if anyone in Aus makes/imports one of those 80km/h-limited spares for the S. Any recommendations/avoids? (just had a puncture, so it's in my thoughts for road trips away from the big smoke)

    Radio freezing

Anyone else seeing this? Media app freezes and is unresponsive (it's usually tuned into FM). Other apps are fine. Needs reboot to clear. I've heard chat that it might be due to going out of 3G range, but it's unlikely, as I'm not using internet radio, and just driving in the suburbs when it...

    Using CCS chargers

I gather from the chat around the web, that a CCS to Tesla adapter to do DC charging is not technically feasible. Is this really the case? And it is possible to plug a Type 2 cable into the AC part of the CCS socket (given that it shares part of the pinout and physical shape)? Just trying to...
