“ Steering Assist Reduced-Steering may require increased effort” alert on car monitor

This has happened to me a few times in the past few months. It is on my way home so I don't need to use the steering assist but it would be a big nuisance if it happens when I do. Will keep an eye on this thread and look for others.

    Bluetooth Not Connecting Automatically

To add to my previous comment. Sometimes sensors do have issues and having Tesla replace mine improved the percentage BT connectivity was successful, but it didn't fix it to 100%. In reading comments on this I realized my car entry and driving sequence is/was really fast. I would get in, grab...

    19" vs 20" wheels+tires for Tesla Model 3

I recently purchased Yokohama YK-GTX 19's for my 3. My Tesla chews through tires so wanted to avoid paying high end prices since they have to be replaced a lot more often than previous cars I have owned. The last set of Continental ProContact RX's only lasted 20K. Prior to that I had the...

Anyone else having issue with remote climate controls lately?

Yep, pretty annoying. It also isn’t remembering seat warmer settings and have to reselect it every time. I’d prefer to not have the scorched butt setting ;). First world problems I suppose.

    Very slow software update

This just happened to me recently and the car took 3 days to fully download the update and was ultimately successful. I have had my M3 for 5 years and have never seen this. Tesla must have different download groups and by luck of the draw you might get stuck in this painfully slow one. Maybe it...

Thanks for all the information in this thread. I just put in a service appt, hopefully the price discussed here stays the low price or even covered.

Door suction sound, sticking when opening

Thanks, I will try the silicone lubricant suggestion. I’ve had the Model3 for 5 years and 75K miles and it started in the last month or so. The sound is a little exaggerated and isn’t a pleasant mark of quality fit and finish :). More like the sound of peeling away something stuck together that...

Door suction sound, sticking when opening

Anyone else experienced a suction sound when opening Model 3 door? This happens mostly on passenger side but I have heard it on other doors & even the driver's door once. Inquiring to see if there are any lubricant or other options to remedy. I searched the forums but haven't found anything yet.

    Supercharger - Webster, TX

This SC is horrible. Super slow speeds and when we were there at night the overhead parking lights were flicking on and off like a horror movie. I hope another charging location is on Tesla’s list to help service Galveston area travel.

    Bluetooth Not Connecting Automatically

The above SC appointment fixed the issue, I wanted to give it a week before I reported back. I can't say if it was all of the parts or just one, but the issue got resolved. One thing I also realized is that when I get in the car I immediately go for my phone to get it out of my pocket. This...

    Bluetooth Not Connecting Automatically

Lots of possible variables at play here, just seeing if there was any common thread P2D (Pin to Drive) or the seat weight function. About a year ago I turned off pin to drive for awhile and BT seemed to connect more often. I don't really want to be forced to keep a log of every time it does and...

    Bluetooth Not Connecting Automatically

Here's some more data after looking more in the forums: The Bluetooth connections (you will see multiple with names like Sdf52c35....) are the "phone as key" connections. There are two types of bluetooth being used to connect a mobile phone to the car for two different features and use different...

    Bluetooth Not Connecting Automatically

One question on this thread, how many people are using pin-to-drive security? My Tesla 2018 LR RWD has not been connecting to Audio since very early on after receiving in 2018. I had an appt fix a few issues in 2019 with this being one and the mobile service tech couldn't reproduce. He said to...

    Supercharger - Clayton, NM

+1 vote for this SC if anyone from Tesla is watching this thread. Houston to CO would be so much less stressful with this stop. Trinidad/Amarillo are the only places required to charge to 100% because of it. Tesla has to see a large # of 100% charges reported at those two SC’s.

    Supercharger - Henrietta, TX

We were there two weeks ago. Nice place, none of the restaurant workers were wearing masks which was fairly shocking to see since most places seemed to be taking it seriously. It is a great stop overall, good bathrooms and decent selection of food options if you aren’t vegetarian or willing to...

I am getting intermittent (more than 50% of the time) "No Device Connected" in the Tesla Audio app when I get in the car. Steering Wheel creaking - Control Arm or Steering/suspension problem

I had the creaking that was ridiculously loud. For me the creaking could be reproduced easily when turning the steering wheel. Model 3 Glass Roof Sunshade

I bought the Tesla sun shades in May 2019, and they do a good job of reducing heat in the hot summer. Prior to installing I could feel heat radiating from the roof glass and after installation I haven't felt it since. Tinting with Xpel also worked wonders, parked interior temps don't go nearly...

2000 miles only.. Is my battery ok?

You're good, the only true way to know the range is to do a couple of cycles of 95%+ and down to below 20%+. The only reason to do that is for a long road trip. It depends on your usage, daily driving of 50 miles won't give the computer enough data to calculate so it might seem like it is off...

Another Model 3 owner was able to unlock mine

A similar thing happened to me when picking my son up from soccer practice in May of 2019. There was a Dad and his son getting out of my car when we walked up. He was surprised to find it wasn't his car as his was 4-6 spots down. We were both needing to go so we didn't do any additional testing...

Miles at 100% charge (P3D Long Range) -- 282 miles available.

After cycling about 3+ times to 90-95% and down to 10-15% my 100% range is back up to 312 miles from 292-295 it had been reporting. I had been charging nightly to 80% for 9+ months and it looks like it needed to break out of the box it was in. I also switched from charging at 48A to 24A, not...

Miles at 100% charge (P3D Long Range) -- 282 miles available.

I'm in the same boat. My 100% calculates to 292-295miles. Coincidentally, I took delivery the same day August 28th, 2018. Deep bass still not there after 50.6, huge bummer. Was reminded today when listening to a song, that in my wife's former Nissan Murano, put out some nice bass. In the 3 there was 5-10%. Model 3 -Maintenance schedule?

Interesting that they moved the Model 3 to 2 year maintenance schedules from the 1 year for S & X. If it's not really needed better to not waste time to bring it in. If there are issues it will be brought in off schedule anyways.

Little (and big) software changes that would make a big difference

Good list of improvements. These might help: Fix the autosteer nag so you just have to touch the wheel, not wiggle it with force. - Use either scroll wheels, volume up and down, etc. Listing of currently available spaces at superchargers - perhaps with a number next to the map icon. -latest...

    Texas Hold Up!
