I've noticed this over the last few days, too (haven't driven the car much over the last 3 months). There is a noticeable noise and vibration when the fan is set to higher speeds (above 7). Air gets cold / hot just fine, and appears to blow into the cabin fine, but the noise and vibration is new.

Yeah, I haven't experienced this sort of wear on the steering wheel on prior cars. And my prior cars didn't have easy entry to move the steering wheel out of the way... The rest of the wheel is fine and has no damage.

I'm at the garage now and trying to use the destination charger. No luck. I've tried four of them. The car says ready to charge but it's not getting any power from the charger.

We are likely taking the minivan rather than the 3 to Sequoia and Kings Canyon for this reason. Yosemite is do-able with the Superchargers in Groveland and Fish Camp.
