Part of me thinks that for now this may be a short term thing, but they are likely to offer it again. At some point the vehicles that have paid FSD under the "your car has all the hardware needed" plans, but don't actually have the hardware capable of providing the service will be rolling...
In our situation it's both, Seattle roads are pretty rough, and the car is pretty stiff, so we hit some construction remnant and the thud is just a bit harder than is comfortable. The biggest problem with the seats for us is the rear ward slant. Both of these things are I think well within...
I'm hoping to crowd source a bit of advice. I currently have an early build model 3, and both my wife and I are really happy with almost everything about it. The only real problem for us is that she has some health problems that make sitting in a car uncomfortable, and particularly going over...
I've had this exact thing happen to me. I'm not 100% sure of what the exact conditions are, and if it requires a car in front of you, but there are scenarios where you are in hold, can have your foot on the break, etc. and then you think you are shifting into drive but you are activating TACC...
We have a Model 3 and have been pretty happy with it for about 2 years. However recently my wife has been dealing with some back issues that have made all car travel a lot more difficult.
The 3 is a little more sporty than some of our previous cars, and some of that ride is part of the issue...
I will have to try from brake hold in controlled circumstances. I don’t think there was a rejection of TACC activation. I don’t remember the sequence of events well enough to say if I put the car into drive a second time, just that something unexpectedly accelerated the car at a time when I...
definitely had to unlock the car, or at least I did it before I stopped because I knew I was going to be stopping on the street and wanted to make sure she could get in quickly.
I don’t really remember hitting drive before I started up again but that is the only explanation I can think of. I’m...
I had something happen yesterday that I could imagine happening to others, and while it didn't end in any problems for me it was startling for sure. I have thought about it, and I'm pretty sure it can be explained as not a 'bug' or car failure, but it might be an instance of bad design and...
I had this happen one time on my charger, my wife had plugged it in. I think she didn’t push the charger plug in quite enough. Nothing wrong with the car or the plug in my case. Unplugged it, plugged it in again and never happened again.
My wife also has some back issues that sound similar, she has found the Model 3 to be better than her Subaru. The car is very easy to drive, which has helped a lot, and has allowed her to reduce/avoid some of the painful motions that go along with driving.
When I'm driving with her in the car I...
I'm loathe to further inflame things, because there is no way to know some of this for sure, but with modern logistics and testing in the silicon world, it's very achievable to take and as part of the manufacturing process run a series of tests on the silicon and motors themselves right at the...
This had never happened to me before, but a bunch of things got scrambled with 28.3.1. It coincided with me mapping keys to profiles, with a bunch of settings (NOA, chill mode, steering preference) all getting changed.
I would actually like sort of the reverse of this. We have a parking spot that takes a bit of maneuvering to get into and tucks in close to a wall on the drivers side in an ideal stopping point. It would be great if I could identify the spot and through a combination of GPS and camera reference...
I had this happen once after a trip. I decided to use the frunk to store a bunch of frozen food in a cooler. Went straight from the freezer to the car. Frunk was sealed the whole trip. I think the seal on the frunk is very tight, and so any moisture that gets in there stays in there. In our...
Bellevue, Wa service center last month, $585 for parts, $200 labor (plus tax). On ours they only performed "Pre-calibration of forward camera" and left a note that said we will need additional driving before calibration was complete. Took another 30 mins or so of driving before it finished.
Seems very inconsistent, after getting a big crack from a rock hit this weekend, scheduled for service at closest service center and was told no ETA try again August 30th, tried at a different service center 10 miles away and they confirmed my appointment for tomorrow. My insurance company sent...
I supercharged a couple of times last week on a trip and noticed > 500mph charging a couple of times, it displayed for sure on the mobile app, and I think the screen matched, but I don't have a screenshot to prove it.
I'd assume a lot of people don't have WIFI at work, and wait to do updates until they aren't going to be driving for the next couple of hours. I usually see update ready notifications come around 10/11pm. I've only had one problem on an update, but I'm a lot less tolerant of that risk if I'm not...
Typically you would press the turn signal, to start the lane change.
You can have TACC without auto steer but not the other way around. The transition to AP from EAP might have moved the lane change feature out of the package...
Also worth checking is standard dryer outlet, NEMA 10-30 I think. It's 240v /30 amps. Because of the way a lot of places calculate the draw on electric car charging the 50 amp circuits can be more likely to push you over the margin for your existing panel, than something they calculate with...
Based solely on watching how Tesla seems to process a lot of their big releases in waves, and then pause while lots and lots of cars get brought up to the latest version, it wouldn't surprise me if they have features that depend on software components, or firmware in the car being updated to...
Tough, but maybe not as difficult as the big sounding numbers suggest. Average selling price for a new car in 2018 was about $37,000 and in 2016 about 17,500,000 cars were sold. That is $647B annually right there that people are spending in a decent economy. It doesn't include the costs of gas...
I was having the same problem as the original poster, with a persistent warning triggering at as high as 40psi. Started when the weather turned a colder in the mornings. Went away with 39.7.
I asked about two trade in vehicles about 3 weeks before I took delivery. The delivery specialist said yes, but a day later came back and said one would be a trade in, the other would have to be a check that would be mailed and not credited against the vehicle.
They gave me a fair price for...
