Hankook new iON tire, an "EV" tire (not the same as Kinergy GT)

The tire shop returned the credit back to me themselves. I wasn't able to go through the proper tire manufacturer warranty process because my tires were no longer in possession. This was a one-off for me because of the mileage warranty discrepancy between their system and my original receipt.

Hankook new iON tire, an "EV" tire (not the same as Kinergy GT)

I think this was a special case for me. The tire shop told me the Ion Evo did not come with a warranty which resulted me in buying the Pirelli. I did think to myself it was odd of me to originally buy tires without a warranty so I went home and found my original receipt. The receipt clearly said...

Hankook new iON tire, an "EV" tire (not the same as Kinergy GT)

Luckily, I did manage to get them warrantied. Had some issues at first but ended up getting credited.

Hankook new iON tire, an "EV" tire (not the same as Kinergy GT)

Follow up to my original post, I just replaced the Hankook Ion EVO AS on my 2018 LR RWD Model 3. Treadwear was at 2/32 in the rear and 3/32 in the front after 26,458 miles. I normally drive the car in chill mode and do lots of highway driving. Lifetime wh/mi for the tire was 226 wh/mi. I...

Hankook new iON tire, an "EV" tire (not the same as Kinergy GT)

Yes, but closer to the PSAS4. I remember the MXM4 feeling like being on ice skates. It grips well but I don't feel like I'd be as confident driving it spiritedly around corners in the canyon as I did on the PSAS4. It could be the sidewalls are slightly softer than the PSAS4, but of course, what...

Hankook new iON tire, an "EV" tire (not the same as Kinergy GT)

Grip and steering response are good but not as good as my PSAS4. Rolling resistance, comfort, and NVH however are greatly improved over the PSAS4. I'd say the rolling resistance, comfort, and NVH is comparable to the OEM MXM4 but grip is significantly improved. No regrets on sacrificing a little...

Hankook new iON tire, an "EV" tire (not the same as Kinergy GT)

That's correct. I purchased the stock 235/40/19 96W size. The sidewalls don't sit as square as the 235/40/19 PSAS4 I had on previously and sit more similarly to the stock 18" MXM4 and 19" ProContact RX (narrower)

Hankook new iON tire, an "EV" tire (not the same as Kinergy GT)

Just got the Hankook Ion Evo AS installed on the stock 19" wheels on my Model 3 at my local America's Tire (Discount Tire). This will be the 4th set of tires for my car. Tread Depth new is 9/32. So far the tires are much quieter than my Michelin PSAS4 but those were practically bald. Efficiency...

Successful roof rack & wheel-on bike rack pairing

Can you let me know if the front mounts on the Frontloader scratched/chipped the paint finish on the Model 3 roof rack? I noticed the rear mount on the Frontloader has rubber shims to help prevent scratching but the front mount is the bare plastic tightening against the roof bar.

Supercharger - Pasadena, CA (LIVE 26 Nov 2019, 24 urban stalls)

You don't have to purchase anything. I went up to the counter and asked the cashier if they validate parking tickets and she pointed me to the machine. It's a white box located on the check-out counter in the women's section.

Supercharger - Pasadena, CA (LIVE 26 Nov 2019, 24 urban stalls)

That's correct. I have always gone to the Starbucks in The Paseo mall to have the ticket validated.

Supercharger - Pasadena, CA (LIVE 26 Nov 2019, 24 urban stalls)

The first 90 minutes is free but you'll have to get the ticket validated at a nearby shop/restaurant like Starbucks. Otherwise, like what @gaswalla said, you can go during off the off hours when the garage gates are sometimes left open and unattended.

    Supercharger - Kettleman City, CA (LIVE 15 Nov 2017, 24 V2 + 16 V3 stalls, lounge)

Stopped by Kettleman City last night during my road trip from SoCal. Arrived with about 50 miles of range and hit 230kw for a split second before it tapered down to 200. Guess you need to really live life on the edge in order to see that 250!

Supercharger - Pasadena, CA (LIVE 26 Nov 2019, 24 urban stalls)

Hi All, I'll be making the trip down to Southern California this weekend. I've looked through the past couple of pages and only saw Starbucks as a shop that will validate the parking tickets. I was wondering if anyone has found any other stores that will validate the tickets? Also, is it a 90...

    Supercharger - Novato, CA (LIVE 28 Mar 2020, 20 V2 stalls)

Drove by today. Not much progress has been made. Looked like conduit was still being roughed in.

    Supercharger - Novato, CA (LIVE 28 Mar 2020, 20 V2 stalls)

I figured a supercharger would pop up in this shopping center sooner or later. That section of parking spaces across from In N Out between it and Target is usually pretty empty. I work in Novato so I'll try to make my way over there to see if there has been any construction activity.

    Supercharger - Buttonwillow, CA (10 V2 stalls)

I stopped at Buttonwillow earlier today hoping to charge enough to get to Gustine however the charger was fluctuating between 55-73 kW even with my battery at a pretty low SOC (~25%). Note: There were only 2 other Teslas at the Supercharger. I tried charging on 2 different chargers and got the...

Looking for alignment shop in greater Sacramento area for Model 3

Lowering any car will naturally add more negative camber to your wheels. Even if you or your installer marked all of the camber, toe, and caster settings before the strut towers were swapped, it is best to get an alignment just for peace of mind. An alignment is a few bucks cheaper than...

Looking for alignment shop in greater Sacramento area for Model 3

I'm not sure if they have worked on Teslas but I used to bring my old car (modified Subaru WRX) to Clark Frame & Alignment in Roseville. They have tons of experience working on modified lowered cars. Try giving them a call.

Supercharger - Fairfield, CA - Holiday Lane (LIVE 9 May 2019, 12 stalls)

I just stumbled upon this new location earlier tonight while grabbing dinner. Construction has been all cleaned up since the photo in the initial post, but still no power. Looks like they may still need to get a fence built around the transformers and breakers before flipping the switch.

Just a heads up, I don't see any new conversations in my inbox.

Vendor Open Source DIY Model 3 Console Wrap Template

Hoping the chrome delete will also be Open Source. I've DIY'd most of the chrome delete on my car with a bulk roll with the exception of the side mirror but can wait to utilize your template for that remaining section!

LOL at all these people who offer to test but are nowhere near Houston either 1) Didn't read Kenriko's post about testing in Houston or 2) Should get ready to make the drive out to Houston!

It is 1 piece and is running vertically across the trim (running it the short way). I've attached a photo of it in the shade so that it may be easier to see.

3D Maxpider Kagu Mats for Model 3

I have the WeatherTech Laser Liners in my other car and I know what you mean about the slippery plastic feel from those mats especially after the mats have been worn in. The Maxpiders feel significantly grippier for my shoes but mine are only 3 weeks old.

Wood Dash Wraps! Post them here!

Unfortunately, what the sellers are telling you is 100% correct. If you want the grain to go horizontal then you'll have to buy the 60" x 60" roll. My 12" x 60" roll off Amazon (probably the same one you bought) is enough to wrap the wood trim however the grain is vertical as seen in my photos...

Wood Dash Wraps! Post them here!

I bought the roll from Amazon (3m 1080 vinyl). A 12" x 60" roll was more than enough to DIY cover the wood trim and center console.

3D Maxpider Kagu Mats for Model 3

Just here to contribute to the MAXpider photos! Fitment is pretty spot on and the fibers used on the underside of the mats really help these things stay in place.

3D Maxpider Kagu Mats for Model 3

I ordered from Garber Auto off Amazon on 09/16, the mats shipped on 10/10, and I received them on 10/12.
