Acceleration Boost option for Model Y available?

Lol Why would you want your actual range to stay the same if you buy this? Buy it to use it- I know I can put it in chill and find a route that gets me above 300miles- but that’s not what this is about I’m having a blast with mine

Acceleration Boost option for Model Y available?

Of course it’s that easy Smh 36.11 can’t wait to check it out!...... ..... though... I used to have a M3. This boost is 4.8-4.3s 0-60 M3 LR AWD was listed as 4.4s Will i notice other aspects of increased performance? Or will this just make the Y as fast as the 3 instead of a bit slower?

Acceleration Boost option for Model Y available?

Just bought the accel boost for the Y. It requires 36.10 I’m out of state- car is in my garage and should be connected to WiFi- is there any way I can check from my phone what software I have?

Is it OK to let the charging port door close over an unconnected J1772 adapter?

On a similar note- I’m charging at the airport quite a bit. ChargePoint but free from the city. When it finishes charging the plug can be disconnected. I came home after 3 days away and found just the adapter in with the door over it- fair enough and glad i didn’t monopolize it for that long...

MY Not supercharging, Level 1 and 2 seem normal

Mike, thank you. It was simple, but I needed that quick explanation.

MY Not supercharging, Level 1 and 2 seem normal

But there is a lot of clicking when I first plug in. A message states that it’s charging at a lower rate, but I found it to be mostly decent at level 1&2. It will not charge at all on a supercharger. I have a service appointment on Tuesday to install a roof rack. How do I reserve a new...

Any insight on how long they’ll be out of stock for the model Y?- paddle boarding season and all I see from other threads that they also ran out in both April and June People are selling them for $150-200 over list, but i can wait .just curious if I should expect a week or two or ...months?

Supercharging compromising Service/How about level 2 vs level 1? And how much should I limit SC?

Saw that. I’ll be “ok” if it fails at 100k. I’m still trying to learn. Meanwhile, The guy trying to make his case with the technician stonewalling him, wasn’t “ok” Appreciate the article.

Maximum charge level for daily use

Good articles. I appreciate the info. I have a 230 mile minimum round trip commute once or twice a week to an airport where I’d like sentry mode and cabin overheat protection on. Model Y dual LR - Tradeoffs.....there’s a balance somewhere for me. Do I charge to 100% and mitigate the number of...

Supercharging compromising Service/How about level 2 vs level 1? And how much should I limit SC?

I owned a new Model 3 since December ‘18, and traded that in for a Y a couple of weeks ago. I exclusively supercharged my first 6-7 months with the 3 because I street parked and had no way to run an extension. I apologize for the TLDR. I’m asking for someone to simplify this scenario and too...

Any benefit in reducing charge rate?

How long do you plan on keeping your car? Now that I’ve traded M3 to a model Y and eating two new car depreciations, I’m hoping to drive this one 8-10 years or so

Long Road trip with Y or ICE????

I agree. My motivation then is about the gas. I don’t like burning dinosaurs unless it’s absolutely necessary. I like that Tesla doesn’t make you sacrifice driving experience, but I support their mission.

    MY’s shape kinda wierd

Hate to break it to you but...Most everyone who doesn’t know Tesla thinks they’re ugly. Or just.... basic. They used to remind me of the Honda lineup. Then I drove one. Then I drove one longer Then I owned one The whole experience colors the perception The only Tesla I’ve never been in (X)...

Winter tires for the 20” Induction Wheels?

Long Road trip with Y or ICE????

I’ll concede that there’s a fanboy aspect to Tesla that can turn me off- “thou shall not criticize” etc- but that’s not this for me- if I were 25 that would be a sacrifice. I’m just older now and “sitting is the new smoking”- Supercharging is getting faster every year so soon it’ll be a moot...

Long Road trip with Y or ICE????

I’m sure an Audi forum would have different results- but unless charging is an issue, I never want to take anything long distance except the Tesla - so much less fatiguing on autopilot. Especially with FSD. (Which I don’t have anymore since I traded in my 3) I just had 4 taller than average...

Winter tires for the 20” Induction Wheels?

Thank you for this thread. I live in Folsom, CA and just took delivery of the Y 5 days ago. I get to Lake Tahoe dozens of times every winter. The ride is tougher than what I’m used to with the 20”’s (expected though) - I am worried if the low profiles will handle the snow, and if there is room...

How many EAP owners would pay for the 3.0 FSD computer at what price?

I also bought in dec 2018 I love the EAP. And I’ll consider what’s coming out but for now am pretty happy. I’m an airline pilot, and one of the most unexpected things I’ve run across are the intelligent conversations with EAP Tesla owners relating the levels of automation to what’s in the...

I’m checking out this thread bc the other day in the rain- I couldn’t get my phone to work at all. Had to use the card. (Which luckily i had in my wallet.) The next day and ever since, it’s worked just fine Anyone else? The experience made me contemplate the model 3 FOB- who else has that and...
