    Plaid Sport Bucket Seats

For what's its worth, I was at the local Service Center yesterday (20-Apr-2024) and asked about the new Plaid Seats. Service tech responded that they heard they were going to be available as a retrofit. Didn't know the price, but estimated at least $4000 each. Availability unknown

Mixing Gen 2 and Gen 3 Wall Chargers?

Thanks. Can't mix Gen2 and Gen3 is the impression I had. Found this other thread that concurs. Don't mix. https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/posts/7689406/

Mixing Gen 2 and Gen 3 Wall Chargers?

Have a Gen 2 Wall Charger that I used with my 2019 Model S. Gets up to 48A. Works great. No issues charging the Model S. Have a Model Y LR on order for my wife and for convenience ordered a Gen 3 Wall Charger (the one with WiFi). My question, can the Gen 2 and Gen 3 wall chargers be used...

    Charge door icon

I have a Model S 2019 Raven (2020.40.8) and I just noticed that as well on the IC when showing vehicle status. Hadn't noticed it before, so I agree must have been added in a recent update.

    Supercharger - Bensalem, PA

I checked it out - Thursday, 21-May, at about 6pm. Model S LR Raven 2019. Battery was at about 65%. I didn't get more than 69kW. It's closer to Turnpike Exit 352 than I thought although all that construction around the Route 1 interchange is annoying. Nonetheless, I'll check it out again (I...

What did you name your car?

Anna's College Fund. My daughter (Anna) doesn't appreciate it.

How does payment work with Tesla Energy? Credit cards accepted?

Yes. You can pay by credit card. I got a similar email to morbidz that took you to PayPal (of course) were you can provide your credit card info. It was very easy.

    Raven S Questions

re: Front License Plate When I picked up my Raven LR in May, asked about removing the front license plate holder. In PA there is no front plate. Tesla told me that the front plate holder could not be removed since it was an integral part of the front end safety testing. Anyway, when I had...

New Car with cracked roof glass

So, just to close the loop on my cracked Model S cracked roof experience, after initially taking my Model S to the SC on 24-May, I finally got a text on 2-Jul from Tesla that the replacement roof had arrived at the SC and to schedule an appointment. I wasn't able to take the car in until the...

    2019 Model S - Raven software version

    1. I don't remember the version that I had when I got the car a month ago, but about 1 week later it updated to 2019.16.3 3e8c226 2. A way to check if you have HW3 is to see what codec is used for TeslaCam video encoding. HW3 encodes using H.265 (HEVC) whereas HW2.5 uses H.264 (AVC). My car's...

New Car with cracked roof glass

That is what essentially happened to me with my Model S Long Range. See my post above. I'd definitely take into the Service Center ASAP at least to have them document it and get into the queue for a replacement. I was told it would take 2 weeks and after checking at the 2 week mark, the SC told...

Model S New Badging for New 2019 Models

I got my 2019 Model S Long Range in mid-May with adaptive suspension, 370 mile range, etc. The rear badging only has "Dual Motor" on the passenger side which I have seen on Model 3's. No "Model S" on the driver side which I would have liked.

Crack on glass roof no exterior damage but not under warranty?

A crack was discovered in my 3-day old Model S' roof. I eventually took it into a Service Center to have them exam it and determine it would be replaced under warranty. Here's my post on another thread: New Car with cracked roof glass

New Car with cracked roof glass

I too discovered a crack in my 3-day old Model S. Took it into Tesla Service and had them examine it. The Service Manager could see that there was obviously no impacts to the roof on the outside or from the inside and that it was a crack in an interior glass layer. It'll be replaced under...
