    Has it dawned on anyone?

I must be missing something here. How is Tesla operating with company owned stores any more of a threat to existing dealers than Tesla operating with franchised stores?

Should TSLA use/steal/borrow the Karma design for Gen III?

    The Karma is ugly, imo.

    model x kinda like x6?

I don't see the Model X as an SUV. It's more like a minivan, considering the minimal ground clearance.

Lessons from Model S to be applied to Model X

Yes, I have taken a Model S test drive.

Lessons from Model S to be applied to Model X

Add blind spot detection to my must-have list. My current car, that I plan to replace with the Model X, has that, in addition to memory seats and parking sensors, front and rear. These features are common in cars costing half as much as the Model X is likely to cost. If I'm going to spend...

Lessons from Model S to be applied to Model X

If the Model X doesn't have parking sensors, that's a deal breaker for me. Same goes for memory seats, or does the Model S now have that?

Lessons from Model S to be applied to Model X

I agree that the Model X is a minivan alternative. Since there is no such thing as a performance minivan or a luxury minivan, there should be a significant market for it.

    Latest "Finalize your order" date

He received his notice to finalize within the last few days. I don't know his reservation number; 12 thousand something.

    Latest "Finalize your order" date

My brother just got a message saying that he had until January 15 to finalize his order, or he would be subject to the price increase. He is not amused. He reserved three months ago.

    Notable Gaps in Supercharger Network

No SC stations on I8, either. Unbelieveable. It looks to me like somebody was tasked at the last minute to come up with an SC station map. Back to the drawing board, please. While I'm at it, I question the whole idea of solar power for the SC stations. How's that going to work out for...

Model S price justification (why so expensive?)

I don't understand why people think the Model S is expensive. Compared to ICE cars with comparable performance, it's not. Price out a Panamera, for comparison.

Options you would like to see in the Model X

The VTRUX Suburban is definitely not what I want!

Options you would like to see in the Model X

I'm getting a Model X, not a Model S. The Model X is exactly right for me to replace my Mercedes GL450, which I use only for local trips and occasional day trips. I think I'll like the Model X so much that I will also want to take it on long road trips, which I don't think it's well suited...

Options you would like to see in the Model X

No, I'm arguing for a generator that will provide 40A.

Options you would like to see in the Model X

Perhaps I'm not familiar with the facilities at campgrounds. So I drive up to a campground and plug in for a 10 hour overnight charge. Am I supposed to sleep in my car?

Options you would like to see in the Model X

The Generac XG10000 weighs 300 lb, available at Home Depot for $2099.

Arizona - Phoenix and Tucson Corridor

I liked the comment by a reviewer who said that those who can afford it have a DUTY to buy a Model S. That's pretty much the way I feel about it (with respect to the Model X). I like the idea of dealing directly with the manufacturer rather than with dealers, who usually know less about their...

Options you would like to see in the Model X

Portable generators that put out 40A at 240v are not uncommon.

Options you would like to see in the Model X

About 6000 miles per year in my SUV, which I don't use for road trips, and about 8000 miles per year in my LS430, which I use for road trips.

Options you would like to see in the Model X

I'm proposing a generator as an OPTION. Obviously, a lot of buyers wouldn't want it. A couple of other points: As far as added weight is concerned, I figure that the generator would weigh about 250 lb. Considering that the X will probably weigh over 5000 lb., what's another 250. As far as...

Options you would like to see in the Model X

Tesla might not do it, but I'll bet some enterprising owner will do it.

Options you would like to see in the Model X

I know this is heresy, but I'd like to see a 10KW gasoline engine powered generator installed in the frunk. This would make road trips much more feasible for me. And without adaptive cruise control I won't be taking any road trips with my X.

Arizona - Phoenix and Tucson Corridor

I've called the store and am on a wait list to drive the car If anyone who has a reservation to drive the car intends to cancel, I hope they do it several hours in advance of the reservation time. They told me that after this weekend there won't be any cars there to drive for a month or two...

Arizona - Phoenix and Tucson Corridor

I wish I could have been there. I live in Tucson, and have Model X reservation #P1214. I would like to test drive a model S. When do you suppose it will be possible for me to do that?
