“BMS u019 Acceleration reduced” any shops in LA to change battery contactors - pyro fuse?

I have a tesla model s 2013, i was driving in highway and my speedometer display hanged so i reset the computer while driving and after a few minutes I saw this error

BMS u019
Acceleration reduced
Performance may be reduced”

i tried shutting down and factory reseting the car but it didn’t help, funny thing is the car accelerates just fine and it has not been reduced at all.

Tesla inspection estimate $2429

and in the inspection they listed these parts to be changed as part of “Pack Contactor - Update and Recertify”

- FIELD KIT PYRO FUSE PACK 1.0 1.5(1089619- 00-D)
- 1 FIELD CTR KIT W/O FUSE PACK 1.0 1.5(1084515-00-E)
- BATTERY BOLTS, SERVICE REPAIR KIT, SX(1138547-00-A)

Total Parts Amount Total Labor Amount
Service Center hourly rate: USD 245
705.92 1,656.20

anyone has experience with this? Is there any shops in LA area that could do that for cheaper ?

Yes, I have had exactly that repaired in June this year.
But in my case the power was quite reduced.
Have been driving a couple of months with that error, but it didn’t resolve automatically (like the error said that that may happen).
Have had the repair done by Tesla and after the advice of forum member @Gtech have asked Tesla also to renew the umbrellas of the pack.
It appears that many malfunctions of battery packs are caused by ingress of moisture, renewing umbrellas seals your pack like new and isn’t very expensive, some 60 euro.
The top of the battery pack will be taken off and after the repair a new one is sealed on top.

The repair was costly (a little over 2000 euro), but with one nice side effect: after the repairs power of my P85 was restored, like the car is new.
It seems that after some 10 years the power is gradually becoming a little less, but you’ll never notice because it’s gradually and slowly happening.
But after the repair the car felt like a rocket; it frightened my spouse when I showed her the difference...

Here's mine:

TLDR - the HV battery contactors and pyro fuse were replaced under warranty along with the drive unit at 89K miles after getting the warnings. In my case, the car would not restart after I drove it to the Service Center.

Here is an update, after I took it to Service Center I realized they dont give loaner cars so I had to cancel my appointment for another day so I booked with another service center, but they gave me a TOTALLY different price and different diagnosis and they didnt even mention anything about Pyro Fuse

They quoted me $1,464.28 at first then day before appintment they changed it to $1,933.68

after I left my car there the day After they called me and said they also need to change the "Bus Bar" and they Updated the Price to $2,630.58
which is $700 more than the estimate they gave me First day they were working on me car and I do not undrestand how Bus Bar that acording to their own PDF that costs $35 could increase the bill by $700

my experience with Tesla Service Center Pricing has been it is Completely Random and has no Logic at all !

I booked appointement for wheel alignment also a few times and each time it gave me a total different Price, like Tesla is just rolling the dice to see what number comes and charges you that !

is there any way I could stop this insanity ? what are my rights and my options not to be screwed by Tesla Service centers?

I have a 2012 Model S 85. As noted in the attached image, I have 136,110 miles on the car. Original battery and motor and I have lost around 30 miles in range. I have been using the car for Uber the last several months so I have been putting more daily miles on the battery then in years past. Yesterday, when driving, I got the same error message but no BMS u019. I have gotten this message before when driving the battery down to low millage (20 miles) but I had around 45 miles let on the battery when this error showed up. Charged the car up on 220V/50A overnight and error still there. Car performance seems normal. This thread has been a little useful and a little disconcerting too. Any advise on where to look elsewhere for more advise?
