19” Tempest- How to Fit MS P85D?

Just insert your data here and see the result. If you will not increase the tyre size then they would only need spacers on front axle. It depends on the new rim offset and width.
Here’s the data and it says 2021+ years but I’m wondering what they did to the new MS that is so different that stock wheels no longer fit. Isn’t the frame still the same?

2015 Model S has 19x8” ET40 rims with 245/45r19 tyres. I have summer tyre set on aftermarket rims, tyres are the same size and rims are 19x9” ET37. I have to use 5mm universal spacers at front axle. This setup place the rim edges app. 0,5” more in/out compared to original. So at front you need some additional spacers to overcome this 9,5” width rims as the suspension is already very close to the 9” wide rims that I have. You probably can use the same original 2015 tyre size on these wide rims but they might look awkward. On the 2015 car these rims will definitely touch the upper suspension link, if installed without spacers and needed wheel balancing weights might come into contact with lower linkage bolt head. Here is a sketch how my summer rims are compared to the original 19” setup:

They don´t need spacers, quite the opposite. They stick out more but not in a bad way. Should look well on a P85D, like with 20mm spacers in the back. Lots of users here perform this improvement for the looks anyway. Please report back and post images. Thanks

I will definitely need spacers. I tried them on and although there’s plenty of room in the wheel well, they rubbed on the suspension like @KalJoMoS said it would. The rear appears to work with a 5mm spacer. I only had two spacers, so will try again when the next two arrive. Here’s a pic with it on Jack mode.

Hoping there’s a way to fit them on my 2014 P85D. Will spacers work?
I have installed 19" Tempest wheels on my 2015 MS P90DL. I used 10mm spacers on all four corners. Without the 10mm spacers, they will not fit. They do barely rub on the front plastic wheel well when I turn all the way left or right. I only hear it in the car when I back out of my driveway. I think that when the tires have a few more miles on them, then they will no longer rub. This is what they look like installed.

The 2021+ cars most definitely had suspension geometry changed. There's no way a 9.5" wide wheel with +40 is gonna fit in the front of an older MS. It's extremely tight in those wheel wells.

Hey, I also have 2015 MSD, coil springs. Any update after having the Tempest wheels on? I understand 10mm spacers all around makes them fit. Do you feel the ride more rough? Less mileage? Feels more drag and motors working harder? Appreciate your update.
