We do have another Tesla we are keeping.
We are the second owner.

Yes, tesla announced the program several weeks ago. There are forum posts about it. I believe they charge $3,000 and you gain about 15 or so more miles of range.

I thought that announcement was for cars built from the time of that announcement (which would all really contain the 75 kw battery) - was it retroactive to cars built last year and early this year (prior to the announcement) as well?

I suggest you call a tesla service center and verify. I was told that any 70 could be upgraded through a software update but there is allot of information floating around and I could be wrong. If you give a tesla service center the vin they can tell you for sure.

I think you're wrong about this. Mine was delivered very end of Oct '15. As others said, that only applied to refreshed Model S. I think you should be double checking your information especially since you're selling the car and could be construed as misleading.

LIKE I SAID IN A PREVIOUS POST, I MAY HAVE BEEN GIVEN INCORRECT INFORMATION. I SUGGEST THAT ANYONE INTERESTED IN THE CAR FIRST CHECK WITH TESLA SERVICE CENTER FOR COMPLETE CLARIFICATION, ESPECIALLY IF UPGRADING TO A 75 BATTERY CAPACITY IS IMPORTANT TO YOU. I WILL NOT SELL THE CAR TO ANYONE UNLESS THEY FULLY UNDERSTAND THAT THE INFORMATION ON UPGRADING THIS CAR TO A 75 MAY BE INCORRECT.

SORRY FOR THE APPARENT MISTAKE. IT'S STILL A BEAUTIFUL VEHICLE!

Dude really, caps? I understand you could be mistaken and it was just friendly advice. Still a great price for a car that's 6 mos old assuming nothing wrong with it. Some people may be turned off with it not having leather seats.
