Cybertruck App Purchase from Out of Texas, Texas Delivery, Austin Wrap Install, Steps Review

Make progress yet. I'm in TX and interested in Tesla wrap also. Only issue seems you need to have the delivered CT in your account on phone, to then shop and buy, then schedule the wrap it seems... and I'm pretty sure there will be some wait there.

Has anyone fed TWO 200amp subpanels from ONE 200amp disconnect using ONE Gateway?

I have two 200 amp panels so we split with 2 gateways. Had to evenly split solar and 2 power walls on each system. Wished could have had one system though.

Actually saw this figure the other day. $80K in the 70s would be about $298K today.

Tesla Only Wall Charger or Tesla Universal Wall Charger (House Power Share Feature)?

Just to add to this thread, got a new universal wall charger here today, few months later. It does NOT have the PowerShare logo on the glass (at least like the one line in pics) but they confirmed it should still be bidirectional. Sure hope so.

PowerShare for All Teslas & Integration - speculation

It seems was first mentioned for "vehicleS" last year on investor day in March, but it dropped off a bit after that until we've seen it on the first one now which yes is CT. Picked up in a few stories well back then like...

April 2024 MX Delivery Info Share

Yep. I think Tesla is falling behind on features mainly compared to competitors at similar or even lower prices... and lack of quality reputation and service doesn't help. Headlines lately have been stuff they remove.

    Apr 20, 2024 - Model X price drop by $2,000 !!! wtf...

Hmm good question. It isn't off the MSRP, so it's applied later. It would apply like a cash down amount basically... countering taxes or giving you more down.

PowerShare for All Teslas & Integration - speculation

Ah yeah it's just mentioned that Teslas will have V2H by 2025, similar to CT now. Def will get me to buy again when comes out I'd say. I have a GMC Denali order that will decline because it's still CC2 and the GM Power solution is complicated and they won't I tegrste it yet, and it's $7k plus...

PowerShare for All Teslas & Integration - speculation

Hi all, there has to be others out there with Tesla Solar/PowerWalls of course, that are highly interested in PowerShare coming out soon. It was mentioned that it will be coming in 2025 for all Teslas, and it's rolling out now/soon with the Cybertruck it seems. Look forward to seeing that...

    Apr 20, 2024 - Model X price drop by $2,000 !!! wtf...

Having owned an MX, I'll probably go with a 5 seater again if get one in say next 6 months. I prefer the larger/nicer SUV, but with the usual 5 seats. My reasons are: - Had the 6 seater, and the two middle seats not folding was actually a pain. Seemed to lose functionality when hauling a lot...

    Apr 20, 2024 - Model X price drop by $2,000 !!! wtf...

If buying a tax edition under 80k, you definitely can just add FSD later if want it to avoid losing the $7500 off point of sale (if you qualify this/last year in income, etc.)

Tesla drops prices on X/S $20k. All colors free. Bye bye resale

Agree, that's the reason for GAP insurance. Probably a key thing for some Tesla owners to have if they purchased at high prices with a high value loan.
  14. travwill

Tesla drops prices on X/S $20k. All colors free. Bye bye resale

#2 is pretty common, especially with new gadgets, toys, cars, etc. It is to be expected. You buy something ASAP/as an early adopter, you're going to pay a premium for that time to get/have it first. Now yes with Tesla, things tend to go up/down over periods so some timing is key, but it's...

    Deliveries of $80k X?

Np. They have a demand problem for sure. Seeing Tesla advertised now all over social media, they have also called me proactively as a previous customer to see if interested in an X. Seem a bit desperate for sales.

    Apr 20, 2024 - Model X price drop by $2,000 !!! wtf...

Same. Yoke isn't that great though outside of the freeway long trips.

    Deliveries of $80k X?

At this point you'll get a VIN assigned within a day and production out of factory within a week so just wait to order.
  18. travwill

Tesla drops prices on X/S $20k. All colors free. Bye bye resale

Price drop 2k is accurate but only gray is still free. On other topics, luxury cars that are in lower demand depreciate a ton! Teslas are easy to get and a dime a dozen now, not cutting edge by far, this depreciate a lot as assets now. I'd expect a good 20% "off the lot" and more in few few...

Prediction: Model X price will be reduced to $78K in January 2024

We have one in the family - definitely a ton more usability than the CT on the inside I'd say, plugs galore, 120v plugs, the armrest turning into a desk over console is actually kinda a nice add, the real vents that you can move without looking at a screen, a very huge/nice frunk, and the huge...

April 2024 MX Delivery Info Share

Well, tempting now that it's another $2k off as of this morning as well. Gonna still wait to hear of some new features in year ahead... BTW, for now does the X still have Homelink included by default? Dealbreaker for sure if not available - can't use the myQ crap since have Alarm.com already.

April 2024 MX Delivery Info Share

Kinda keeping an eye on X. The second they add PowerShare capabilities to it, and yeah some upgrades would be nice, if it stays right under $80K, I'll pick up up a base for the tax credit as well... hate that the yolk throws you over 80k even though, dang.

    First Powershare home installation

Following this thread and similar. We have Tesla Solar as 2 systems, 2 v2 gateways, 2 PWs on each, and solar split across each. I mainly want to be able to back up one side in particular at least. Seems excited as reading this, all need to have is the bidirectional universal charger running...

What Would Compel You To Upgrade to a Future Model X?

Yeah no USS on front doors anymore, just FWDs. The drivers door just opens now enough to grab and pull open yourself the rest of way. Still closes with brake press at least.

What Would Compel You To Upgrade to a Future Model X?

2021+ Model S LR Delivery Tracking

Good luck. I just sold my 22 MS and it'll be my last Tesla. The quality was still bad. Loved the car at first and yes bad delivery experience as took hours to get into the car in some church parking lot in Austin due to tech issues. But since then it was fun but I'd say quality was still not...

Do PWs stay off grid a while on purpose in short outage?

Our neighbors all said we had about a 2 second outage last night but we had a report of a 9 minute outage before our PWs said the grid was back and reconnected tk use grid energy. Is this normal behavior? In short outages do the PWs wait a while for the grid to me reliably on before switching...

If the grid goes down. They literally in the gateway disconnect physically so I’d say in that scenario they are isolated. Not if precharging for an event though.

When the ACTUAL cybertruck pricing is released…,

The F150 has a super functional interior. Something the truck masses love. People don’t want the vents controlled on the screen, a sparse j terror, etc. I’ll say the F150 has a really refined interior over the years based on feedback.
  32. travwill

What was Tesla's estimated price of Cybertruck March 2020?

Tesla Solar in Houston & Surrounding Area’s

Nah, where we are we pay 9 cents, and they buyback for 5 cents. If you can find a 1 for 1, thats great still. Texas is a net metering voluntary state so companies don't have to do it at all, may go away someday but likely 50% or so seems to be what most are going to. Can't help on the...

Tesla Solar in Houston & Surrounding Area’s

Yeah, they should charge fine on a sunny day, depending on how much energy your house is using. Our usually fully charge up by around noon even or 1PM at the latest on each side. 1 side is like 11kW of panels and 2 PWs, and the other is like 10kW of panels and 2 PWs, both charge by then and...

Tesla Solar in Houston & Surrounding Area’s

I’d say some basic advice from me is: 1) use the cheapest electric provider pricing, or plan that discounts nights if your going to use backup each night. Daytime you’ll use solar or have excess. 2) get at least 2 PWs, if ya have one AC and other electric stuff ya need two for them to turn on...

    Bad off-grid data?

Having a hard time figuring out these bad estimates and data that show up in an outage or when off grid. 1. When off grid I show solar production which is bad since it’s 10:20pm hehe. 2. On the usage estimate, does that change real time or is it using historical data? E.g. in this pic if I...

    Austin Energy and Powerwalls

Just Austin, not statewide. 45 minutes west of Austin here in Marble Falls with PEC - and its normal net metering. Austin is a special city in Texas, very Democrat led/liberal in nature, lots more regulations, permits, costs, restrictions, etc. It's a reason that we want that "Texafornia"...

Does Tesla not sell Gateways with less than 2 powerwalls

We have a similar system going in next week, 19.2kW and 4 Powerwalls, and seems 2 gateways so whole home is backed up. Question though - It seems that will require sort of a 2 homes view in the app? They said that it will basically be 2 separate systems, each with 2 powerwalls that they try...

    Wait times for Solar?

Can't wait still, install is on 5/16 Powerwalls (1 day) and 5/17-5/20 Solar (4 days) soon. Been waiting since about October 2021 here.

Using 100% of the solar your panels produce [DC / AC ratio]

I’d also say in Winter you will produce less and as panels degrade over the years so your ratio of use will improve over time.

Tesla just canceled my order [on solar panels for a new house being built]

Ah just wait until u can provide all pics of panel, roofline, AC units, etc. if doing panels. They will do a site visit assessment (or two) as well. We started ours as soon as I could get all those pics done. The electric bill can be an old one or just estimate if ya need.

Value of a new 2022 Tesla Model S LR? Have to sell in month(s) ahead

Hi, curious to what fair value is for a 2022 (Jan build) white Tesla Model S Long Range, upgraded 21" wheels, white interior, reg autopilot. Basically babied the car but there is likely a single paint chip on bumper or so from driving normal use. Car has 2000 miles now. Only upgrades are...
