What happened to my rear heated seats?

I have a 2015 Model S which has gone through many iterations of UI changes throughout the years. One of the things I seem to recall was that heated rear seats was available through the app and the MCU. Granted I rarely have passengers in the rear seat and I'm in California, but it's still...

Supercharger - Sacramento, CA - Delta Shores (under construction Feb 2024, 28 stalls)

Hopefully the pin is temporary for location too as it is where the movie theater is located. I can imagine people parking in the EV spots out of convenience.

The last photo posted in this thread is of another Supercharger. The last update photos as of April 3rd doesn't even have the lot paved - far from being done.

Wiki Sudden Loss Of Range With 2019.16.x Software

I haven't been following this thread lately since I've lost 20+ miles of range after a firmware update. I haven't charged to 90% in a while, but the other day I ended up going that route. I was quite surprised to see my range has gone back up significantly. I think I've lost 3 or 4 miles now...

Tesla infotainment system upgradeable from MCU1 to MCU2

They reinstalled the firmware on mine the first time and within a month it was dead without them even looking at it and said I needed a new MCU. They didn't charge me the first time but got reamed when I got replacement. Good to know that I should get a refund though.

Wiki Consolidated eMMC Thread (MCU repair) (Black Center Screen)

Had to find my post that had the invoice. It was just under $3k. Just noticed that the invoice said the 12V battery would not hold a charge. I got the battery back due to me requesting it and when I hooked it up to my multimeter, it was still at 12V. Does anyone know where to get the battery...

Wiki Consolidated eMMC Thread (MCU repair) (Black Center Screen)

So Tesla is now offering to replace just the daughterboard rather than the whole MCU for a much reduced price? !@#$#@$!! Anybody have any luck getting a refund for Tesla unnecessarily raping me for replacement MCU and 12V battery that IMO wasn't needed?

Supercharger - Elk Grove, CA - Elk Grove Blvd. (LIVE 21 Jul 2020, 16 V3 stalls)

Story time... So I get to the Supercharger today to charge and notice a big pickup truck with a huge camper in tow. The guy was working underneath it but he was blocking multiple Tesla Superchargers so I approach him with my mask on and tell him that he's blocking the chargers for other cars...

Replaced MCU, Tesla wants to keep part of my old MCU (need legal argument)

No. I told them I would not pay for the part once they told me there would be a core charge even though they said otherwise earlier. The issue is always the same being the eMMC is worn due to Tesla cheaping out on parts and excessive logging of data. So it's not a matter of if the MCU will...

Funny how you mentioned nothing was to be done anything soon. I drove by that same day but about 5PM and they dug in that area. Kinda hard to see when it's shrunk down. Don't mind the bird poop or bug guts on the windshield.

Supercharger - Elk Grove, CA - Elk Grove Blvd. (LIVE 21 Jul 2020, 16 V3 stalls)

These are 72kW Urban chargers though. Anyway, noticed they still have issues with certain stalls where it doesn't charge or is very slow to charge. If it is a preventative maintenance issue, I'm all for it.

Supercharger - Folsom, CA - Iron Point Rd. (4 V2 stalls)

I noticed on the way there was there was no status indicator showing how many stalls are available on the map. Just a little further down the road, it showed the Palladio status so I know it wasn't my car. I was also surprised that there were no other Teslas charging as this was on a Saturday...

Supercharger - Folsom, CA - Iron Point Rd. (4 V2 stalls)

Damage I found in stalls 3 and 4 when I arrived. Back and front images of stall 3. Less damage in stall 4. No excuse as you only pull forward and these are easiest of the stalls to park in.

Supercharger - Elk Grove, CA - Elk Grove Blvd. (LIVE 21 Jul 2020, 16 V3 stalls)

Does anyone know why the parking spaces closest to the Superchargers have cars there all the time? I stopped by there on the weekend and saw at least 5 commuter vans. Normally Superchargers are out of the way of other frequently parked spaces which is why I haven't seen ICEing in NoCal.

Never cared for that shopping center. The last time I went to Fuji Sushi Buffet, the parking lot was pretty packed even with an hour before closing. It's a madhouse when they put out the raw oysters, the customers rush over like cockroaches and grab everything they can in sight. It's pretty...

Not sure what to tell you if they're charging $1k core fee now. You're basically at their mercy. And if the MCUv2 ever comes out for our cars, you would want that rather than the original MCU which is already refurbished. They made me buy another 12V battery too even though I explicitly told...

    Supercharger - Sacramento, CA - Freeport Blvd. (LIVE 29 Sep 2020, 8 V3 stalls)

I was hoping more by Dutch Brothers just before the mouth of the Freeway heading north. Going east of Elk Grove Blvd is a nightmare to maneuver especially if you need to turn around. The traffic is horrid with single lanes going into Old Elk Grove.

Weird that Tesla has updated their Supercharger maps for 2020 and they don't even show this one being planned. Whereas they list a future site for South Sacramento and Elk Grove. edit: Looks like the South Sacramento one is actually going to be on Freeport Blvd near South Land Park and under...

    Trading my TM3 for a TM3

This is exactly the reason why I didn't even consider FSD before the recent $1k price hike. I debated it since it would upgrade my AP 2.5 to 3 but in the end, all I'm getting is cones displaying on the MCU and smaller files for Sentry because of CODEC they use in HW3. You can get into a wreck...

    Trading my TM3 for a TM3

My point was since product was not delivered, they should transfer to a new car. You basically threw another $6k out the window. I doubt they will resell that car with the feature included.

    Trading my TM3 for a TM3

Did they transfer your FSD over to the new car or did you have to buy it all over again even though the original FSD was never delivered? Why not post some pictures of your panel gaps?

I'm wondering why they didn't show inside the truck. Guess when they give rides, there will be videos of that out. Tesla infotainment system upgradeable from MCU1 to MCU2

People may tag it as funny but it is a reasonable one considering Tesla isn't selling new MCUs anymore and use the refurb option to take back your original MCU unless you're lucky and get away with them not charging you a core fee. YMMV in other states but in California they are allowed to...

Tesla infotainment system upgradeable from MCU1 to MCU2

So once again, SC doesn't know what they are talking about. How does Tesla explain why they will warranty the MCU for 4 years when it is replaced but will not do so when original ownership is under 4 yrs but mileage has exceeded the original warranty.

Tesla infotainment system upgradeable from MCU1 to MCU2

I specifically asked about this and asked for it in writing when I got my refurbished unit and was quoted 1yr or 12k miles, whichever comes first. According to my Tesla Service Center, it is specifically stated on the back of the estimate or the last page.

I think this is case by case by service centers. California probably has their whole fleet coverage from Enterprise. When I had my MCU replaced, they had my car for 6 days. Well actually 5 but I didn't want to drive out there when they told me it was done. In actuality, it probably took more...
