Hi everyone,
As of yesterday, my alignment was set perfect. Steering wheel was perfectly centered, only a very minor drift to the right as you'd expect from crowned roads.
Today, I did some spirited driving on some twisty roads. When I got back on the freeway, I noticed my steering wheel now sits 5 degrees to the left if I want to go straight. Still tracks straight, but the 'center point' is now 5 degrees to the left.
If I did a toe shift, I could get it re-centered......but obviously this shouldn't be happening. My steering rack was replaced last year by the service center, and I do hear a random single 'pop' rarely when I'm steering at low speeds that feels like it's coming from the left side......could my rack be shifting side to side a couple mm's? There are only two bolts holding it in, after all:
I had all of my suspension components inspected recently and they were in good shape...
