No prior signs of anything going wrong or issues with degradation, the car just wouldn't turn on after charging like normal. Tesla said there was some sort of internal fault in the pack and replaced the whole battery pack under warranty. So it's as close to as new as you can get now with the updated "J" battery pack.
Tesla told me it was a new battery and it definitely looks like it, because the full charge range is 368 miles as shown by the picture above. It is a "J" version which I believe is also the newest version.
Yes see pic below, non moving incident and pretty minor and it was repaired perfectly. I agree it's unfortunate, but maybe the brand new HV battery pack offsets it?
Did you file a diminished value claim with your insurance? I had a similar accident and they sent me a check very close to the amount of the repair bill to cover diminished value.
I am the 2nd owner, bought privately from a friend. I was there the day the car was delivered to him new and when he bought a new X I bought this from him directly knowing the owner, the car, and the condition.

Carfax is incorrectly showing my friends move from IL to FL as a new owner, but he took delivery new and was the only owner up until a few months ago when I bought it from him then had it shipped from Miami to Chicago. I have all the service records from new (not much to report) and the only reason for the sale is my garage is very tight and can't really accommodate 2 large SUV's (other is a Cayenne).
