@TEG thanks for the photos. I was there also. It was my first time seeing the new Roadster with my own eyes, up close and personal. Well, not “up close” enough! I really wanted to get inside.

The car is more beautiful in person than it is in photos, in my opinion. Stunning design and perfect proportions. I really like the way the design elements are not exaggerated or overdone like in so many “supercars”. As always, Hans and his team have demonstrated their skill with subtle grace.

Now I really want one! But I remain unconvinced that the steering wheel design will make it into production.

The paint on the Roadster prototype was crazy delicious. It was like a liquid red neon mirror beaming in the sunlight. It made the loud red paint on the Model Y look just ordinary by comparison. I suspect the Roadster prototype has a ‘cost is no object’ paint job suitable of a ‘halo car’.

I had exactly the same reaction.

The Model Y would have received more attention if it had been blue, or silver, for example.

Yes. Common setup for race cars and super cars. Enables fast tire swap on the racers.

I didn't think a single nut on/off would be allowed under Federal Car Safety standards?

I would demand each Tesla have that standard of paint technology.
I also think "The Mazda Red" is stunning in sunshine!

Don’t worry! If you lose a wheel the thrusters will keep you afloat!

Single nut is fine - see Porsche GT3, GT3RS and Turbo Models. They've had it since 2010 or 2011.

Its my wife's fault, if she would have allow me to buy a Porsche I would be better informed.
