A tale of Elon's early endeavors

This is how Elon used to raise funds to pay for the first projects he had in mind.

Elon started out poor and had only a little cabin in the Canadian woods where he sold meals for others who were just trying to get by. The difficulty was that he couldn't afford to go out and buy all the ingredients he had in mind. The difficulty was overcome by being clever. Elon knew a way to collect those ingredients with little effort.

First thing he did was to set out a very large pot, filled with cold water, on small cook stove. Then he puts out a sign to announce that he is making a fabulous dinner for a very reasonable price. Some people laugh at him because all they see in his little cabin is a pot of water on a tiny camp stove.

Elon's cabin is near the water and there are lots of frogs about. They hop in and out of the cabin all the time. After a bit, a few frogs hop by and notice the big pot of water and mistake it for a pool. They decide to jump in. After floating around for awhile, they start croaking loudly to beckon some friends to join them. Many do.

Elon casually walks by now and then to see all the frogs filling the pot. Each time he comes by he tells the frogs that the pot is for dinner and they need to leave. The frogs just laugh and encourage even more of their friends to join the party. Eventually the pot is nearly overflowing with frogs.

Once the pot is as full as it can get, Elon comes by to light the pilot. Again he announces that he is going to make dinner and the frogs need to leave. They just croak loudly.

Elon takes out a stack of plates and places them on the table and then puts down a basket of napkins and three more with knives, forks, and spoons. He announces again that he is making dinner and would be serving soon, at which point he proceeds to turn up the heat.

The frogs look at him and laugh. One of them expressed concern about the temperature and wondered if it did go up, would he be able to get out with all the others jammed in there with him. All the other frogs dismissed his concerns and insist that the water is fine and there is nothing to worry about. "Besides" said the leader of the pack, "the flame is low and he'll run out of fuel long before there is enough heat generated to raise the temperature of this big pot of water."

The frogs didn't realize that the little cabin in the forest with the little cook stove inside was the object of Elon's irritation some time earlier. Elon disliked having to replace the little bottle of fuel when it often ran dry during the preparation of meals, so he had modified the small fuel bottle to be continuously filled by a much larger tank that was buried outside, with a line running inside to connect it to the little bottle.

As the frogs continued to frolic in the pot, the temperature slowly climbed. None of the frogs believed Elon was going to make dinner. They all were laughing at the line of fools who had paid for the meal the frogs knew would never be served. The line outside the little cabin continued to grow.

Gradually, as the water temperature continued to rise, the frogs were lulled into relaxing and began to fall asleep, Elon kept coming back to check on them, announcing each time that he was going to be starting dinner soon. When no frogs laughed, he knew they were all asleep.

Next time Elon came around, he was followed by a line of customers who were each anxious to taste the frog soup. None of the customers complained about a lack of meat. Each had their bowl filled with hot broth and a full, fat frog. Dinner really was spectacular. Of course, customers only ripped the hind legs from the body to eat and then tossed the rest of the carcass into a barrel. This was to be fed to the pigs. Elon always looked for ways to make money with the same garbage others pay to have removed.

As the last customer was served and the pot was drained, the customers all expressed interest in returning for the next meal. There was concern that this was a one time special, not to be repeated. Some were telling others that they would have to be satisfied with remembering how special this meal tasted. But Elon announced that this would be a regular occurrence because he has several pots and he will continue to fill them with cold water and set them on the cook stove whereupon the dumb ass frogs will continue to sacrifice themselves, in the mistaken belief that they were only jumping into a really safe body of water.

Frogs don't learn. Their relatives just get boiled alive and this repeats over and over again.
