The reaction when showing it to my spouse wasn't at all encouraging.

Having to go through the smoky days due to wild fires here every year, I never find it attractive to have a couple of logs burning with flames rising. Faking this scene on a screen just adds another level of annoyance.

In fact, I never heard of anyone wanting to watch a "fireplace on a screen", except my dad who, when coming to Canada for the first time, was curious about what programs the "fireplace channel" would really offer on the TV and watched it for half an hour to find out it actually had scenes of new logs being added to the fireplace.
