Any way to get a state rebate from a dealership and get it shipped to me?

NY state has a rebate in place where if you purchase a new EV from a participating dealership you could get up to $2000 off the price. The dealerships are across the state so I was wondering if I could purchase the car from them, get the rebate, and have it shipped to me.

I was planning on going there to buy and pick up the car, but it’d be nice if I didn’t have to.

I think it’s point of sale rebate. Shouldn’t matter whether you pick up the car or have it delivered.

Do you live in NY? Pretty sure you have to register and use the car in NY in order to get the rebate.
