Anybody in Melbourne with a 3 chrome delete?

Hi all,

Currently on the verge of ordering a Model 3 but the new standard chrome-delete has thrown a spanner in the works. We loved the Multicoat red with the chrome trim, but after seeing images of chrome-deleted ones in the USA, we're not too sure anymore. Being such a significant purchase, we want to make sure that we can pick a colour that we will love and won't regret later. Part of this means seeing the car in person under the Aussie sun. The showroom at Chadstone has no chrome-delete models so I was recommended to try and get in touch with somebody in the Tesla community who has done their own chrome delete and could offer a quick look around your car. If you can't have us in person, we'd still greatly appreciate if you could reply with any photos you have.

We're located in Essendon (3040) and are happy to come to you as long as you're within our 25km radius. Still then, the closer you are the better. I have attached an image of this radius.

Have a preference for Red Multi-Coat or Midnight Silver Metallic but am open to all colours.

Just reply to this thread or send a PM to get in touch.

Thank you!

The other questions are the new 2021 cars the same size and shape just in black instead of chrome? So that chrome wrapped in black looks the same? Or does it have a different appearance that might be a different consideration then just color? Would it be possible to order the chrome trip from service and just unsnap the black trim from the 2021 and just snap on the 2020 chrome? Obviously this wouldn’t apply to the door handles but that could wrapped to match the red paint or chrome wrapped. They have paint matched wrap for the chrome trimmed cars.
