Anyone Know How They Can Ping Your Car?

I've been told my car(s) have left the factory but have heard nothing since then. I have read that Tesla can "ping" your car and get a good estimate of its location.
Anyone know how I can get them to ping my car?

Call anyone at your sales office. They can sometimes locate its GPS location if you don't bother them too much. Mine was on a train. Then they lost it from Chicago on.

Yep, guys at the sales center have access to ping it. I watched them do it to mine. If it goes into a deep sleep they may only have its last location. For example, if it is on the train for a few days headed to the next location it may be asleep.

I stopped by a few times to check on the location after getting the vin. We saw it at the railyard in CA and then again when it was at the Railyard in CO. It took a few days for it to transport to my service center from the local railyard.

I lived reasonably close so I stalked the service center and would check VIN#'s of the cars that were arriving on the lot to know how close mine was to arriving. they mostly arrive in a somewhat sequential order.

are the SA's at the sales center allowed to just ping any car, even after purchase? Seems like a privacy concern if that's possible.

No. They are owned by Tesla until sale. They are in a "service" state which gives them total control. The sales folks cannot just ping your car now, and they don't have access to do so.
